Yeah I have been watching - I love the CWS. I can't wait to see how it plays out tonight
"If there were no eternal consciousness in a man, if at the bottom of everything there were only a wild ferment, a power that twisting in dark passions produced everything great or inconsequential; if an unfathomable insatiable emptiness lay hid beneath everything, what would life be but despair?"

Are you kidding me...???? I'm not a big baseball fan.... but it IS THE LONGHORNS!!!!!

There was a LOT of grumbling around town about Augie putting in Jungmann Monday night, knowing he would be the starter for Tuesday.... He was ill-prepared to step in at teh game close and threw nothing but balls.....

...but the kid came back and redeemed himself last night pitching a full 9... I think if nothing else, you have to admire not just the physical feet of that accomplishment, but the mental victory that he also won from the mound last night.

...of course, the physical feet was pretty impressive too. He allowed only one "unearned run" on five hits with two walks. He threw 126 pitches and retired 11 of the last 13 hitters he faced.... all against an LSU team that came in to the game 37-3 against right-handed starting pitchers this season....

Win or loose tonight, the horns and LSU have been a great match-up for this series and provided great entertainment....
but I'm still going to say...HOOK'EM HORNS!

Yeah man, I was mortally wounded watching that game...All I can think about is that there was 1 surefire LSU win, and 1 surefire Texas win...And then that was that go either way game 1 that went the way of LSU...

Next year though, I think a bunch of pissed off Longhorns hit the field and end up right back in Omaha...
