He left us with a lot of boogie ('68-'92). And for that I'll always be eternally thankful.

Yeah, I see him for what he was, a spectacular one-of-a-kind entertainer. Elsewhere, debates are erupting about whether or not people should care, respect, or praise God that they no live in a world with the famed MJ.

He was an inspiration and model for at least three different generations, and ridiculed by a faction of those same lauders years later. If he brought you joy at all in time, he completed his mission. I'm grateful for what he brought to our world. I'm not remorseful, though, because I don't celebrate/mourn death for anyone outside blood, but I do wish condolescences to those that are most affected by this occurrence, namely the family.

Indeedly. Ultimately, The Music eclipses all the other bullshit for me. It was always about the music. The triumvirate of Mike, Quincey Jones & savant songwriter Rod Temperton are responsible for some of the best tunes ever recorded. Period.

As much as anyone would like to disassociate the artist from the man, you can't. Two sides of the same coin, the visionary, and the disconcerting socially-stunted adult.

What's odd is the opposite reaction I took to another music artist. If only I could do the same disassociation with Amy Winehouse, for I did like her Grammy-winning debut, but two months after I started becoming aware of the underwater exploding mutant train wreck that she truly was, I couldn't have moved her mp3s faster into the recycle bin. I refuse to endorse her.

I think it's easy for me to disassociate the (good) music from the men behind it in the case of MJ & The Jackson fam probably cos I spent a good 13 years of my life enjoying their records before any of the real weirdness kicked in with the release of Bad. It's sooo easy for me to listen to Off The Wall, Destiny, Thriller,Triumph (& older J5 shit) & not think an iota about the bullshit that followed. I suspect it might be harder for those born after Bad was released to ignore the circus as practically all MJ's successive albums post-Thriller are intertwined or linked with the weirdness & controversy in some way shape or form.

(Spike) -- According to Michael Jackson's largest online fan club, MJ fanatics have been recently committing suicide because of the pop star's tragic death.
The Sun is reporting that up to 12 die-hard Jackson followers have taken their own lives since his passing on Thursday.

Gary Taylor, who runs MJJcommunity.com, recently said, "I know there has been an increase, I now believe the figure is 12. I believe there may have been one Briton who has taken their life. It is a serious situation that these people are going through but Michael Jackson would never want this. He would want them to live."

This crazy news came to light when it was revealed that a Jackson lookalike in Russia cut his wrists after Michael's death was announced last week. The fan, Pável Talaláyev, was found bleeding heavily at his home in Moscow just hours after it was announced that Jackson had died. Luckily for him, an ambulance crew found him in time and managed to save his life. Apparently others have not been so fortunate.

The most insane aspect of this story has to be the conversation that took place in the ambulance after the paramedics had saved Talaláyev from death.

One of the paramedics stated, "He was in a terrible state and kept on saying: 'It's all the same to me. I'm going to kill myself. It's the worst tragedy of my life and I don't want to live any more. I don't know why you saved my life, I want to be with him'."

Pável is supposedly Russia's most famous Jacko lookalike and apparently modeled himself after MJ from the age of nine.

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Pop star Michael Jackson's death was ruled a homicide from drug overdose on Friday, fueling speculation his personal physician, Dr. Conrad Murray, may soon be charged with manslaughter or another crime.

The Los Angeles County Coroner said in its ruling that the powerful anesthetic propofol, which is used in surgery and has been dubbed "milk of amnesia" by some doctors, as well as the sedative lorazepam were the primary drugs responsible for Jackson's sudden death on June 25 at the age of 50.

Other drugs found in the singer's body were midazolam, diazepam, lidocaine and ephedrine.

Los Angeles police said they will refer the case to prosecutors for possible criminal charges when they have completed a probe into Jackson's death. In previous court filings, police have said Murray, who was with the singer the day he died, was being investigated for manslaughter.

Jackson, whose "Thriller" CD is the best-selling album of all time, died suddenly in Los Angeles after suffering cardiac arrest only weeks before a series of comeback concerts.

Murray, a heart specialist with offices in Houston and Las Vegas, was hired to care for the singer while he prepared for the concerts, and he was at Jackson's bedside the day he died.

The doctor previously has admitted to police that he administered propofol, which has a milky appearance and is used to sedate patients, to help Jackson sleep.
