CDR, in the wild world of sports, there is no agreeing..! But, if we must talk facts at some point, lets talk..! The truth of the matter is that the Spurs were not a 'one piece' missing team this year...They were not one player away from returning to title contention...The knock on the Spurs is that they are both old and unhealthy...

Did they fix that by adding RJeff..? Maybe, but that remains to be seen...Saying that they are ready to supplant the World Champions..? Even the most casual of sports fans will have to admit that is beyond a stretch right..? I mean, the C's added one of the greatest players of all times to their squad to get a ring...Are we really saying that RJeff is the same caliber of player as a Kevin Garnett..? I mean, cause if this is a one trick pony, then he better be...

And the mere fact that the C's aren't just trying to get Garnett back, but add to their team must mean they feel that the rest of the league has gotten much better, right..?

Name one team in the league that is not plagued by this problem, and I shall grant you one shiny coin my friend...They don't need to be terribly consistent...Just like we don't need to start expecting Big Baby to get first nod when it comes to making game winning shots...The Lakers were pretty inconsistent this year and still won a championship, they have back to back Finals appearances...I don't get the argument that winning a championship will make them complacent, versus hungrier to start a dynasty...On a team where your veteran player is 32 years old, how do we figure they don't get better, at the very least stay the same..?
