Re: Daybreakers
dear lord, i hope this doesn't take itself too seriously. otherwise, might be a good movie. Almost like a far future sequel from i am legend, the book not the movie.

Re: Daybreakers
Love the use of Placebo's cover of Kate Bush - Runnin' up that Hill
This looks like a great concept.

Re: Daybreakers
Well, I haven't seen a film in theatres for about two years now, but this looks like a perfect venue to see with an audience at a matinee.
Vampires are gettin' alot run in pop culture for the past two years. I say it lasts for 14 more months.

Well, this excerpt may or may not ease your mind as to what direction the film wants to spin:raum wrote:dear lord, i hope this doesn't take itself too seriously. otherwise, might be a good movie. Almost like a far future sequel from i am legend, the book not the movie.
Hawke described the film as an allegory of man's pacing with natural resources, "We're eating our own resources so people are trying to come up with blood substitutes, trying to get us off of foreign humans." The actor also said that despite the allegory, the film was "low art" and "completely unpretentious and silly".
Also, if Vampire flicks are your current bag, I did post a thread about Blood: The Last Vampire, which seems to be the exact opposite plotline that the above film is portraying.
