I'm def. going to get Windows 7...No doubt about it...I'd have to have to go the retail route, lol, but if I just so happen to be in the market for a new PC when it comes out, I'm getting a copy...

Meanwhile, if someone has an eye out on the update that will start to give us a shitty experience whilst we still have the RC1, please do tell..!

Downloads for Windows 7 RC will stop on 20 August 2009, as it is set to hit shelves 22 October 2009...If my $ is right, I'm getting my copy...

It's supposed to be RTM this month.

Of course general availability won't be until Oct 22.

Official update on Windows 7 RTM...

So the one available on torrents isn't legit. October is just around the corner anyway.

Actually it should be out on MSDN or Technet on 8/8/09 so I would expect the usual warez/torrent
places will have it on that day too. If you are looking forward to it.

One thing I don't hack or warez or pirate is my OS. Sure, the installation media might be the same but there are generally activation hacks, etc that go into owning a pirated copy. I'll try to save money though and go for an OEM license as opposed to a retail package.

It's now out - the RTM is in all the usual places. Gonna give it a whirl to test some stuff.
