Mac-based iPod users can share whatever files and music they want with each other; it's just that the iPod users who use Windows as a platform cannot. i discovered this long ago, and that's why when i had the chance, i downloaded and registered this little app called "iPod Access for Windows", which basically lets me drag whatever files on anyone's iPod to my computer for storage and backup. It "unclasps" that locked feature, so to speak.

That's the most annoying thing about ipod,iphone,itunes and apple media in general: you cannot share whatever are on those devices or media synched to that program. you can have the most cheapass generic $5 mp3 player and share what on it with others at the drop of a hat,butt nooooooooooooo not apple. someone above said Slavish. most apt in describing apple how operate right down to the rotten core. and those ipod n' mac zombies think they have the right to look down on others or feel exclusive. they need to look down at steve jobs' shackles around their ankles first methinks.

Oh i know about 'ipod access for windows'. I was referring more to spontaneous sharing of files. eg; you're out and about visting a friend and said friend wants to copy a song/album he just heard on your ipod. it just aint doable unless that friend is a mac user or running itunes..
