Computer Speakers

I'm looking at buying some external computer speakers for my office. What kind would you all recommend for a good price? Links would definitely be appreciated

When it comes to speakers, I don't fuck around...

I don't know how much they cost for sure, but Bose..? You can't beat them for sound...Whatever you pay for them, no matter how small they are, you'll get more than you money's worth for them...Ask anyone with a Wave radio, they'll tell you...We have one, and its crazy how great it sounds...Everyone that comes here wonders where the speakers are...

Check those out...And that's a damn good price...Plus, if they ever fuck up, you have a warranty on them...I bought a pair of Bose headphones from CompUSA and a year later they replaced them for me w/an updated model FOC...I stand behind them 100%, every Bose speaker or system I have ever heard has been the best I have ever heard...

I swear I saw this thread originally entitled "computer speaks"... and I thought "no, the revolution".

But, no. I don't have valuable input besides, though I hear that Altec-Lansing is a people's choice, and maybe the everyman's alternative to Bose.

Klipsch used to make some of the best multimedia (computer) speakers around but they sort of stopped. I had a set of Klipsch ProMedia Ultra 5.1 speakers that were unreal.

I'd toss out a recommendation for Logitech speakers. They are usually decently priced and sound good.

Haha that's a hilarious misread!

Thanks for that link, Ty. I didn't expect them to be so well priced. I was expecting Bose computer speakers to be a lot more

Even if they are more expensive, they're so worth every dime man, truly...The multimedia set they have on that site is nice too, and even has a sub...My guess is that if you try that set, you'll be blown away by the sound and want to trade them in and up for something else...Man, I've had some of those cube Bose speakers and DJ'd parties with them...A damn speaker no taller than 7 inches filling a hall big enough for 300 people on a 200 watt amp...

If there's a Bose store nearby you, its worth a trip down to check them out...

I concur with Ub.... I've tried several different "noise canceling" headset when I fly overseas.... nothing beats the bose for effectiveness AND quality of construction. Many companies manufacture speakers; Bose BUILDS them.... and you can hear the difference.

Meh, I've never been a Bose fan. Tiny speakers and not even separate drivers...just full range? I've always considered them overpriced junk but that's just me. :p
