The akashic records (akasha is a Sanskrit word meaning "sky", "space" or "aether") is a term used in theosophy (and Anthroposophy) to describe a compendium of mystical knowledge encoded in a non-physical plane of existence. These records are described to contain all knowledge of human experience and the history of the cosmos. They are metaphorically described as a library and other analogues commonly found in discourse on the subject include a "universal computer" and the "Mind of God". Descriptions of the records assert that they are constantly updated and that they can be accessed through astral projection. The concept originated in the theosophical movements of the 19th century, and remains prevalent in New Age discourse

Re: The akashic records
Damn, where's the man when you need him..? I know he'd be great to elaborate on this...I probably need to call him, send him a PM or something...VU is blowing up again, lol....I have had topics floating in my head all week, and not posted them to discuss the things that are already here...
Although I'm not familiar with them by name, this is not lost upon me...I know I have in my destiny to access such a thing, but I don't know my 6...

Haha, I agree...I have up to 10 topics ready to go right now...I think I need to re-read the old stuff first though and see if I find anything I can understand better now, as my questions might already be answered :)

Re: The akashic records
OK, my experience of the akashic record started when I was young. It led me to a scary amount of knowledge with a quickness, but it was some time before I felt I had access of my own to really hone in on a topic.
I was nine, and felt I had exhausted human knowledge, when couldn't even satisfactorily explain genetics at the time, Seriously, I was doing my first science project, and I was trying to do one on genetics, but there wasn't enough information available, and we had an extensive science library growing up. I was comparing Pythagoras ideas of material structure being a key to life to RNA and DNA. I was well on my way to memorizing most of what the bible said about life in Genesis, and starting to learn the Latin and Greek notions of life and could barely start to make out Hebrew. - mostly self taught from my mom's old text books. I knew all of these were but keys to the real deal.
I could already follow the notion of OBE (Out of Body Experience) and one day, I lay down in my room, and employed Carl Gustav Jung's method (as found in Reader's Digest Strange Stories, Amazing Facts - STILL ONE OF THE BEST BOOKS of my childhood.) My fascination with Jung was newfound, mostly because the Police Synchronicity was the first album of which I was a "fan." I looked up every word i didn't understand and wrote the lyrics until I could find someway to make them mean something.
Anyways, I began moving, at first lineraly, in the room, through the yard, and then down into an automotive graveyard on land somewhat adjacent to our own. This experience was as real to me as my own tangible feeling. As I entered the automotive graveyard ( as we called it), I started to understand the idea of parallel universes. How two cars could be almost exactly alike off the lot. but then based on the driver's decisions - those two cars experience two different durations - both of which are but a single event in the entirety of that car make's total exixstence. That leap was what I really needed to start to formulate the reality that the universe is fabricated. i closed my eyes, and "thought about going to the place where all paths of all universes meet. I opened my eyes at the feet of a mountain. I understood this "mountain" was crucial to the totality of the human experience, and at its top was somethign that, to me, looked like a temple. I spent a good number of years in meditation getting up that mountain. And since then, i have not dreamt the same - my dreams are usually things I am in and conscious of. and i have a tremendous amount of control over them - or I can let them play out, and introduce things into them. it is more a case of active transcendental meditation than a wave of images and scenes i am swept up into.
The journey up that mountain is a private one, and I have over the years sought rabbi, buddhist, taoist, priest, monk, therapist, scientist, and every manner of holy man and woman to make my journey through the path that leads up it. This is why many of them acknowledge me as the keeper of a Dharma Gate - which is your entrance to the akasha - which you may allow others temporary access to. Only one person ever told me it is all in my head, and he said it thus "It's all in your head, you just have no idea how infinitely large your head is." Still, I have shared my dharma gate with others, and still do.
It was in the may of 1998 I finally, of my own will, entered the doors to what I call the Hall of The First Knowledge, which is the nucleus of the Dharma; which I call by another name. (in fact, i don't use any of these terms, though i can speak of them in the context of most religions and cultures; from Malaysia to Hermeneutics.) That is to say, for the first time, I felt like I had opened the door instead of having it opened for me. but that was just the beginning of my own studies. And I wrote a book's worth of material in the first week, and got ahold of the Elias Ashmole wing of the London museum for scans of documents that cost most of my money at the time. I would meditate and receive lessons, some from people who had experienced death. Most were concurrent to real life events, breakthroughs in human understanding and discovery - including parts of history reclaimed AFTER I learned it.
And I swear to all I hold sacred, the day I feel I finally earned my "library card" to that place instead of just being taken to the library by someone (or something) who had a card; That was the same day I met Ayhja, who I first met as "Marcus" at that time.
