Well with the Celtics turning out to be fossilized and done for I'm hoping it's the LeBrons or basically anyone else in the NBA besides the Kobe's.

Love it when dudes act like the Lakers didn't just win the ship rather convincingly, over a team that almost swept the Cavs out of last years playoffs if not for the luckiest shot in the history of the NBA..!

Yeah...I'm confused as to the reasons that people have for any team other than the Lakers.

This is the same story for the Cav's as last year. Great in the regular season...and then they collapse in the playoffs (probably because Mike Brown is a poor excuse for an NBA coach) but most likely because if you take LeBron off of the Cav's...they're a 30 win team at best.

Lebron is great for numbers and getting wins in the regular season...but nothing really proves to me that he's a true winner when its crunch time.

I'd still take the C's and the Magic over the Cav's in a 7 game playoff series. And I think a number of western conference teams would beat the Cav's...but for some reason...they're everyone's darling this year.

There's no such this as "being due" for a championship or "this is our year" when the defending champions are still around and have a better roster than they did last year. Or at least...there's no such thing that actually manifests itself on the court. The cav's still have to go out and win a few series, and i don't see it happening. Jamison was a good pick up...but he isn't stopping Lewis, Garnett, or Gasol...Shaq isn't stopping Bynum (yeah, I said it lol) Howard..or probably even Perkins..

So basically you got a few moves that look good on paper, and will help you beat the rest of the league in the regular season...but don't be fooled into thinking they're real difference makers come playoff time against the top dogs.



Now, as much as I hate LeBron, who you got ahead of him Ayhja? To say he's 4th or 5th...I'm curious.

And for the record, I'm with you 100% that Melo is more skilled and would wax him in a game of 1-on-1.

Ayhja... First off Lebron will kill Melo one on one.. Carmelo is a volume shooter.. When Lebron get finished dunkin all on that chump.. He may take an early retirement..

Wait...Between Carmelo and LeBron, which one has been in the Top 5 of FGA every year they've been in the league..?

LeBron is a hype monster...A fullback charging though the gaps getting calls...He's a physical specimen, not a basketball player...You could probably stick Lebron in any sport and he'd be good, just cause he's a great athlete...Carmelo is a basketball player, pure and simple...I have no doubt Melo would wax that ass in a game of flight no problem..!

Hypermonster.... Man please.. Melo is soft as cookie dough.. Bron is a beast compared to Melo.. His attitude will lose that game of one on one for him.. Too laid back.. He doesn't have that beast in him yet.. He's not going to smash everybody that gets in his way.. Kobe and Lebron... on the other hand.. and you know what I will throw Wade in there too.. They don't settle.. Kobe is super aggressive on the offensive end.. whether it's shooting or driving to the basket.. They command for the game to come thru them.. Melo has to go thru Chauncey.. That's Chauncey's team.. He is the one shaping and molding that young punk.. He got too much baby fat to mess with lebron..
