Re: Star Trek - nacho daddy!
Does anyone realize that it's still the best popcorn adventure flick of the last 12 months? So much has come & gone since & Star Trek is still at the top of the heap. Nothing has left me feeling totally entertained & satisfied leaving the cinema (and long afterward) since last june. We should not have to wade through 50 pieces of shit to find a memorable one.Über wrote:It was awesome, best movie out thus far....
Recent examples of Epic Fails:
Harry Potter Half Blood Prince: Long & Drawn Out
Wolverine: A psycho killer with claws who stabs nothing except a helicopter hull.
Transformers2: Long, Loud & Annoying
Avatar: Dances with Wolves remixed with aliens.
Terminator Salvation: Loud & irrelevant
Robin Hood: Batman Begins remixed badly
yada yada yada
I think the ones that came closest were Daybreakers, Inglorious Basterds & Iron Man 2.

I wasn't crazy about this movie. I say of your list Jig the movie I liked best was the Terminator movie and I understand I may be the one guy on Earth to like that movie but you put those metal skulls with the red eyes glaring in anything and I guess I'm going to be partial. Plus the Moon Bloodgold sightings didn't hoit. But your general point is a good one. Alot of crap with alot of build up has come to pass the past 18 months.

Hey I love a shiny terminator skeleton as much as the next guy, but moon bloodgod and mcg's horrible directing could not distract me from the fact most of the movie was dallying around in between action scenes and that it just didn't feel like it was related to cameron's first 2. at least t3 felt very related.

I think that may be why I've avoided seeing it a second time. I want to walk away with a somewhat happy memory as opposed to seeing it again and thinking "what was I watchin the first time?!?!?!". I guess it was the Arnold scene that blew me away. That was amazing CGI. But anyway odd we can't go over anything good from this summer huh?

I liked the movie too. Moon Bloodgood was just the cherry on top.darklighter1 wrote:I wasn't crazy about this movie. Re: Star Trek - nacho daddy!
Finally had to go and rent it seeing we were talking about it and watch it again.....and yeah the story was a little lame but the non stop action and eye candy I still dig. And again I will say Moon Bloodgood should be naked or at least IN every new movie coming out in the future. And I'll fight anyone who says different.
I will rent Star Trek later in the week and give that another shot. Maybe it'll grow on me.
