What is it: Virtual CloneDrive works and behaves just like a physical CD/DVD drive, however it exists only virtually. Image files generated with CloneDVD or CloneCD can be mounted onto a virtual drive from your hard-disk or from a network drive and used in the same manner as inserting them into a normal CD/DVD drive.

I like it. I am constantly having to change my background, hide icons, etc during the course of my work. Much easier to toggle easily between two or three different desktops.

There are a lot of virtual desktop programs to choose from but I found this one to be the most reliable. It didn't make Explorer crash all the time.

Yeah, I just switched to it from CDBurnerXP. I like the interface better and it's extremely lightweight. The installation folder is only 3.0MB.

What is it: LibreOffice is a productivity suite that is compatible with other major office suites, and available on a variety of platforms. It is free software and therefore free to download, use and distribute. At the end of October 2010, 33 German volunteers, not involved with development, left OpenOffice.org and moved to The Document Foundation to support LibreOffice. The Go-oo project will be discontinued in favour of LibreOffice. Improvements made by the project are being merged into LibreOffice. Improvements made in other forks are expected to be incorporated into LibreOffice as well.
