Last Friday Mark Hurd resigned his post as CEO of computer maker HP over "inappropriate conduct" with a contractor working for the company. Monday it was revealed that the contractor was Jodie Fisher, who starred in such soft porn movies as "Sheer Passion," "Body of Influence," and "Intimate Obsession."
According to a letter to HP employees, the company's board of directors said that Hurd "failed to disclose a close personal relationship he had with the contractor that constituted a conflict of interest, failed to maintain accurate expense reports, and misused company assets."
Fisher, 50, who began Hurd's downfall with a claim of sexual harassment, denied that she had had an affair or intimate sexual relationship with Hurd. "I was surprised and saddened that Mark Hurd lost his job over this," she said in a statement released by her attorney. "That was never my intention."
"At HP, she continued, "I was under contract to work at high-level customer and executive summit events, worked very hard and enjoyed working for HP."
Fisher worked with HP's marketing division from 2007 to 2009. Reportedly, she was paid $5000 a pop to greet people and make introductions at HP marketing events. Recently she was one of the stars on the NBC reality series "Age of Love." It involves a bunch of twenty- and fortysomething women vying for the affections of tennis hunk Mark Philippoussis.
Hurd is the second HP CEO to step down amid a scandal in the last five years. Carly Fiorina, currently running in California for the U.S. Senate, departed in February 2005 after it was discovered she authorized spying on the company's directors in a attempt to plug information leaks from the boardroom.

Re: Softcore Porn Star Linked to Former HP CEO's Resignation
This is a case of "so the fuck what" to me. He had a chick who was ACTUALLY working events. They have proof she was actually working events. She was qualified for the job, and he never went into HR and told them anatomically HOW WELL he knew someone from the waist down. Her interview was with HR, and up the chain to the marketing department; where she was qualified to work - gettign 5k an event for meetings put together. She was cleared, and had a background check.
A CEO is not supposed to cook the books, even a little, but then why do they let companies "interpret" their financial reporting. There is not a standard way. What he cooked a way could have easily come out on another future financial report. I am not saying it is right, I am saying it is "industry standard." But let's look at how he cooked the books:
"HP's board of directors launched an investigation that determined Hurd had listed other people as his dinner partners on expense reports when in reality he had been out on numerous private dinners with Fisher. "
So he took he out a consultant hired by Marketing for "numerous" private dinners and kept it a secret who he was with, cause she didn't want people to know about their thing on the side.
For this, they are going to sack what has been a great CEO for their company. See, investors are really pissed at what he makes a year. That is what they are firing. The media blitz and shareholder criticism of his pay is what cost this man his job, not his actions.
But I also am suspicious of this woman, who made a sexual harrassment claim against a guy she had a sexual relationship with. She was fine as long as it was secret, I guess. Sounds like opportunism to me.
