Oh really? Oh man bullet dodged. I hope he rewrites Cap's orgin to be more like the real thing too now. I swear that whole USO performer bit I heard has me cringing in fear for when this comes out. If he takes that out I'll have hope again.

Well it's clear that Whedon was asked to rewrite Cap so that it synchs up nicely with it's follow-up,Avengers which as you know he'll be rewriting (Zak Penn again) & directing. Joss has reverance for source material so I trust him. I just hope Fiege & Arad don't push their agendas on him.

O gawd! Why don't they just call him Captain Blue Guy & be done with it already..
That just looks like any random gay paratrooper decked out in blue. Wrongness........
The Batman's ears analogy was dead-on,darkie. Take away the winghead & the flag & he loses any distinctiveness..

I know right? After looking at the outfit I'm surprised they made the shield as accurate as it is. I think they are trying to make him look as genericly colored as possible so as to appeal to non American countries when this is released. They shoulda just put him in army fatigues and called him Captain Planet....oops already taken...Captain Earth I mean. Well that is really disappointing. Help me Thor..you're my only hope.

I mean the best case scenario would be to keep the classic look on the top half (just more armored) & use the non-tight army pants of the Ultimates version. Not this Mardi Gras refugee mockery. Help me Thor indeed. This could be the reason for the dumbassery of this recent move: http://www.superherohype.com/news/artic ... ve-officer
