Hey Ja - Seeing as you are the resident Superman freak around here, take the time to read this treatment from '98 for the comics & tell me if most of it wouldn't work for a movie reboot & make him relevant for this day & age with non-fans:

Re: Man Of Steel
You had me at:
"As part of his alien maturation process, Superman crosses a second, critical threshold of solar radiation absorption and suddenly wakes up three times more powerful and three times smarter."
This makes sense, and as it is at the beginning, I have no doubt that the rest of the proposal is going to be in line...I think this guys version of Superman will be entertaining though, which I hope is enough to entertain this character's legacy properly...It sucks to keep saying it, but the early Superman movies starring Chris Reeves got it all the way right...From Jor-El spending as many as 5 or more earth years kicking mad knowledge to Clark about the universe, to Superman being able to time travel, to who they picked as Superman, just all genius...

Nolan & Snyder need to check that treatment right quick methinks. Word on the vine is they might not even have Lois Lane in the new joint they're making. Big Mistake.

Re: Man Of Steel
What's with hiring 2 Robin Hoods to be the dads? Russell Crowe as Jor-El & Kevin Costner as Pa Kent..
Robin Hood sends his son to earth to be raised by...Robin Hood.

Bleeding Cool,Reuters Entertainment, IGN, iFanboy
Something just occurred to me: Seeing as how the DC reboot makes the new costume official & only (for now anyway) continuity, Does this mean that Henry Cavill's Supes will be wearing that garish thing in the movie?

I think if they have any brains they'll give him the classic look but if it is different it'll realllllllly look different.
