Man on Fire

#1

Post by AYHJA »

As you all know, I have massive hard disk drive space...On these hardrives, I have several DVD quality movies, as ISO images...People rent them, and I copy them, most of which I havent seen...

Sitting on my hardrive for a couple of days now, has been Denzel Washington's '"Man on Fire"...I'm going to be honest with you guys, I was in no hurry at all to watch this film...I became disenchanted if you will, after watching what I felt was the worst movie Ii've ever seen Denzel in, Training Day...Say what you want, that shit was dumb...

Anyway, having said that, to say that I was mildly impressed with Man on Fire, is a big statement...Anything bad that I could say about the movie, I could say about 90% of every movie I've ever seen...So, I won't harp on it...But, then again, I can't just come flat out and say it was super great...

But, it was definitely better than Training Day...I'd recommend watchin' it, but only if one of your friends rents it, and they invite you over to watch it...

Welcome to the ARS (AYHJA Rating Scale) :-D
4.7 out of 7

Of course, comments and discussion are welcome...

not much else to say about it...
i'll simply agree on both sides. Training Day fucking SUCKED! (minus Eva M.), and MOF was much better, but hardly a great movie.
Dude, of course she's gonna dig it...your mom loves the cock

training day wasnt that bad guys, it was ok.
man on fire however started really slow. finally kicked off with the action and wasnt all that bad either. then again supposly it was a true story so what did you guys want? nukes to fly?

Training Day...

Was beyond horrible...Except as x3n mentioned, Goddess Eva Mendes sporting that beautiful, beautiful full bush...C'mon man...It was WAY too much dumb shit going in that movie, that made it unbelieveable...First things first...That neighborhood...Cops would not even DRIVE there, alone...They made it, a virtual JUNGLE, full of hungry niggas...You mean to tell me, they gonna let a dude walk clean out of there, with a bag full of cash..?? Pssssfffffftttt...! Whatever..! That movie was trash, and Denzel, who I feel isn't as good or versatile and actor as Lawrence Fishburne, has definitely made better films...Giving him that Oscar was for the performance he did in "The Hurricane" not Training Day...Believe that...

And, the fact that Man on Fire is supposed to be a true story, my stomach just turned over a knot...Man, my stomach just did a fuckin' 360...

well, you might not want to loose your lunch just yet. Man On Fire was not only mediocre, but not really based on a true story...at least not that I know of; It was based on a novel set in Italy, not Mexico City. However (and this is when you loose yo shit), kidnappings in Mexico, as well as Colombia, ARE a reality...and no, neither Denzel nor Govnor Arnie would just walk in and kick ass and get the girl. I believe you get your nutsack handed to your next of kin with a pretty bow if anybody's feeling "heroic" enough to try it.

ya man i know about the kidnappings. they are pretty fucking crazy man. i stay the fuck out of them countries although im not sure its just Mexico and Colombia. I dont want to jump to conclusions cuz im not 100% sure but isnt most of South American like that?

Well I dont know if its a true story but at the end it says he was born in 1954 and died in Dec. 2003, which was at the end of movie when he bled to death no?

...All of you can die.

Man On Fire was fucking great.
Training Day was the shit, I don't tend to watch my movies with a pen and pad and write down what's realistic and what's not, I just enjoy the shit, which I did immensly with this movie.

Case Closed..

Case Open...

I'll keep saying it...Training Day was trash...

And another thing thing...WHAT WAS UP WITH THE BULLSHIT ENDING in Man on Fire..?????? He fuckin' got shot once, and didn't have the means or sense to fuckin' get a bulletproof..?? What kind of body guard guards body's without some kevlar..?

Yeah, o.k...Now, I'm startin' to think this movie was some bullshit as well...He took one to the chest, and kept rolling, like he was the fuckin' bionic man...

And at the end, the fuck..? Did he just die in the car..?? Why did he even go and get in the car..? Fuckin' Training Day was trash, and Man on Fire was trash to...I'm gettin' this shit off my harddrives immediately...
