Still think he looks odd without the winghead. Red Skull's mask looks badass though.

Technically not anymore. Fox are rebooting Fantastic Four. Though Cap is now the fourth comic character he's played in a movie. He also starred in Push & Scott Pilgrim.

Yeah that is pretty good huh? And it evn makes more sense for this to be his real face and the Hugo Weaving face be his mask but I just hope they have him look like this for most of the movie. YOu may have already talked of this but did you hear that the Avengers is going to be Loki manipulating the Skrulls vs the Avengers?

I hope that is the case.

Nope. Not heard any talk of Skrulls on the Avengers flick. I'm honestly all skrulled out Darkie after the schlepfest that was Secret Invasion. If I never see another Skrull, That's just fine by me. Loki & The Destroyer are the only things that have that look of badassery in the Thor trailer though. Ditto for the Red Skull up there.

Yeah I was pretty impressed with how accurately they got the Destroyer down. Haven't seen enough of Loki to make a good enough judgement call on. He's hardly in the trailers. But yeah here we go from Latino Review:

Code: Select all

There was some stories that the Skrulls were in the movie BUT of course the powers that be denied it as usual.

Some spoilers are coming up so be warned!

You still here?

OKAY you have been warned.

The main villain for The Avengers is none other than Thor's adoptive brother and archenemy LOKI!
Tom Hiddleston will portray Loki in the upcoming live-action Marvel Studios film "Thor" directed by Kenneth Branagh.
But that's not all, Loki needs some serious muscle to go up against "The Avengers" and he does this by using the cosmic cube seen in "Captain America: The First Avenger" and also seen in the screen capture I took of the "Thor" Comic-Con trailer. Loki uses the cube to get a hold of the Aliens (aka The Skrulls) to invade Earth and fight "The Avengers." Skrulls are green-skinned reptilian humanoids with large pointed ears, red or green eyes, and corrugated chins.

I actually like the idea of Loki/the Aliens going up against "The Avengers" because this allows Marvel to do something really cool and also the fact that there are a lot Skrulls "The Avengers" have to go up against.

Makes total sense how "The Avengers" ties in to the upcoming Thor and Captain America movies.

What do you think of Loki and the Aliens vs "The Avengers?

I am not impressed with this idea. Loki needs a cosmic cube?

Damn. Hope it ain't true. The Cosmic Cube is the turf of Thanos, Doc Doom & The Red Skull. Let Loki employ the fucking Norn Stones or Surter & his demons. If the Skrulls are actually involved, It's probably Quesada's doing so he can get his bumchum Schmendriik involved due to Bendis being the last guy who used the Skrulls. Fat Joey only cares about the movies & will uproot everything in the books for them. A quote from the Fire Joe Quesada group on Facebook:

Joe Quesada does not care about the true comic book fan. He neglects continuity and constantly pulls publicity stunts that make comics hollow. He repeatedly shows an attitude of anti-progression. Character development is poison to him. I was at a panel last August at Wizard World, and I witnessed him in person tell a fan that he's not concerned what long time fans think because he cares about what the movie audience thinks. That attitude disgusts me.

HAHAHA a fire Joe page on FB! I didn't know that many people disliked him so much. He was replaced as the CEO recently wasn't he? I think he's just workin on the movie side now.

Nope. He's now running the show on both comics & movies (2nd to Fiege in that dept) as Chief Creative Officer. It was all a publicity stunt. That's why he chose Axel Alonso. A guy who would keep everything in place he & Bendis had set up. So, really it was a case of
Meet The New Boss Same As The Old Boss...Except The Olde Boss Still Has Final Say So The New Boss Is A Figurehead .

I listened to Dan Slott admit all this in last week's WordBalloon ep as well as crap on about how everything pre-Mephisto on Spidey is officially "Old & Dead Continuity" and should be ignored thereby contradicting Fat Joey's party line that "Everything still happened just without the marraige". Will the real Marvel please stand up?!

Btw, There are several anti-Quesada FB pages. Most are just people ranting except the one I mentioned.
