Yet another one to put on the map, I saw the trailer for this and know that I was going to see it the minute I saw,

"From the producers of 300"



Pretty sure this is going to be what the Clash of the Titans remake should have been...

Had it been "From The Director of 300", I could have been interested. Have you guys noticed that since 300 came out in '07, there have been at least 2 wannabe movies like it every year trying & failing miserably. I expect no different from this.

No, which ones? Besides this one, I can only think of the Spartacus series on Starz. Which was actully quite good.

Most of them have tanked & fallen off the radar. Stuff like the Clash of The Titans remake, Centurion ,The Eagle etc etc

That would be like saying 300 was a wanna-be Gladiator movie. Those movies you mentioned were filmed nothing like the 300 movie. Now Spartacus and this Immortals movie were. :p

I was just meant sword & sandal movies. Hollyweird sure sees them as all the same thing. 300 is like nothing out there.

You can add Troy to that list too and I am sure many others. The difference is the way the film was done. 300 really was epic on what they did with blue screen. Of course Avatar topped that but didn't have the same cinematography style as 300. The movies/shows that seem to directly copy 300 have been "Spartacus: Blood and Sand" and now this "Immortals" movie.
