Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengenace

I'm sorry guys, I think I must post this topic...

As many of you may know, I have a 9, soon to be 10 year old son. And from time to time, we go to movies that I have no interest in seeing...This one was the latest...

I do not understand the Ghost Rider movies, and with no Eva Mendes eye candy to peep, this one was REALLY bad...Unlike a lot of folk, I really like the 3D movies...Well, I don't think 4D would have saved this...

I don't get why the devil would create the rider when he can't control him...

I don't get why motherfuckers see a flaming skeleton riding a motorcycle and don't shit themselves...And worse, they try to kill it with guns...

I don't think Nick is cool...At all...

This is bad writing, bad acting, bad story...All way around...The rider looks cool, but they even managed to make him silly...

I wish someone who reads the comics would point me to an "Ultimate Version" so I can get my bearings...I think the Rider deserves a better rap than he gets in these movies...Seems like such a cool character...

Fuck, this sucked so much ass..!

I've never been a huge GR fan but yeah these movies really shit on the character. Haven't seen the new one yet but I've heard it was horrible. Nick Cage just is not right for the part and the movies need to be really really dark, I mean horror kind of grusome to make sense for the character but they try to go the superhero route and it's not him. Sorry I can't tell ya a good jumping on point Ube....but the little I've read was not really for me.

I'm hearing conflicting reactions about this flick. Some guys apparently hop on board & enjoy the big dumb fun given to us by the directors of those awesome Crank movies, while others are saying Fony (Sony) Pictures have screwed the pooch again just like they did with the first one. Guess I'll wait for a dvdrip to find out. The only thing I liked about the original was the actual Ghost Rider CGI & Mendes. Everything else blew goat. It's a shame because I think if the character is handled properly, We could have a movie as dark, fucked up (in a good way) & gangsta boogie as both the original Crow & Blade movies.

That is the sentiment that I'm looking for Jig, that's it...It's what was so wrong about many of those Batman flicks and what is right about the reboot...

You get the feeling that this movie is supposed to be DARK...A fallen angel driven insane..? Love it...Seeing a kid ask the Rider what's it like when he takes a piss..?!? That's dumb as fuck man, I hated it...Love the CGI, but no real eye candy, a weak story...The fact that the final battle took place in the daylight...Just left me with a rotgut feeling...The right director could take this story and make it amazing...I will say that given the material, I think that Cage acted better, but he's just not this guy..

4 out of 10 stars from me, and that might be a stretch...
