The harlem rapper, Cam†™ ¢‚¬„¢¢‚¬Å¡‚¢†™‚¢‚¢¢¢‚¬Å¡‚¬¦‚¡¢‚¬Å¡‚¬†™‚¢‚¢¢¢‚¬Å¡‚¬¦‚¾¢‚¬Å¡‚¢ron, has left Island Def Jam after Jay Z was appointed president and Roc-A-Fella was officially sold.

The rapper recently made the announcement on New York Radio revealing that the current head of Island Def Jam, LA Reid, granted the Diplomat Records CEO a release from his contract. Cam'Ron has released two albums, but still owed three more albums..

The Radio personality Miss Info was contacted by the harlem rapper during "Celebrity Drama" and he had told her that he met with the head of Island Def Jam and worked out a release agreement. He met with him man to man and they worked out the deal. Miss Info stated that Cam'Ron felt that LA Reid didn't get the required push needed for his latest album "Purple Haze."

Def Jam publicity had nothing to say about this matter.

Cam†™ ¢‚¬„¢¢‚¬Å¡‚¢†™‚¢‚¢¢¢‚¬Å¡‚¬¦‚¡¢‚¬Å¡‚¬†™‚¢‚¢¢¢‚¬Å¡‚¬¦‚¾¢‚¬Å¡‚¢ron was among Roc-A-Fella†™ ¢‚¬„¢¢‚¬Å¡‚¢†™‚¢‚¢¢¢‚¬Å¡‚¬¦‚¡¢‚¬Å¡‚¬†™‚¢‚¢¢¢‚¬Å¡‚¬¦‚¾¢‚¬Å¡‚¢s 'top dogs', being one of the platinum artist, along with Jay-Z, DJ Clue, and Kanye West. He joined the label in 2001 and his debut album, Come How With Me went platinum.

Damn...

To be honest, I haven't heard a Cam album since I bumped "Confessions of Fire" like it was the last shit available...Once I get sukkered into a purchase, I usually don't go back...

I actually PAID for Sports, Drugs, and Entertainment...That was a bullshit album....And I haven't bothered w/him since....But, he does still flow hot...I heard some recent shit, and downloaded it...Haha, but I didn't pay...

Same here... I never been a fan of Cam'ron.. He has a few good tracks, but pretty much every artist does.. It's the consistancy of an artist to produce good tracks, track after track, and good albums, album after album..
