Post by 5829 »

Looks like no more updates for me for Win 7. Tried their new 'rollup' update and it did not work.
Said it installed.
reboot.
installing updates (shutting down)
restarted
installing updates (windows starting) :
error - something went wrong - rolling back :shit:
restarted

This time it came back with the windows signon.
Do not think that I will try it again. :olrd:

I can't prove it, but I think Win7 is getting the stepchild treatment because of the serious push to Windows 10. That said, if you haven't installed anything new, I'd say it's a botched driver update or something. Did you run CCleaner yet?

i have been using ccleaner for a long time. run ccleaner pro, even though i am the only user, (both file and registry cleaner) to clean out everything before i log off. also do a system backup before i log off.

Apparently there was a way to get the business/enterprise updates but I'm not sure if that's still valid or all that useful now.
