The Purpose of Mankind

Just because I'm tired of tehflame thread, lol, it is about time we got some real debate and discussion going on...This post is in fact, inspired by the flame thread...

Both in a wide sense and a relative sense, what do you feel the purpose of mankind is..?

Just a quick response to help get things going until I can put things down better...

I think in a nutshell, the purpose of mankind is to continually strive to better ourselves physically, mentally, and most of all spiritually. We have science and medicine that improves our lives and helps better our health. Education and communication improve our mental status. And our continual effort to understand the mind of God is what stretches us spiritually.

I'm sure we'll get more in depth into all of this as the thread goes on, but I just wanted to kick things off.

I believe the purpose of mankind is to find and complete their purpose. Everyone has a purpose that's different than others. This is the man reason why man was created...to find their purpose
"If there were no eternal consciousness in a man, if at the bottom of everything there were only a wild ferment, a power that twisting in dark passions produced everything great or inconsequential; if an unfathomable insatiable emptiness lay hid beneath everything, what would life be but despair?"

clever answer trashtalkr that's the kind of reponse i spect from clever people, though that's kind of answer could be made by any stupid smart ass as well.

i think we won't find what's our purpose here and ten different people can answer ten different purposes and all of them sound fair and valid that anything you choose to do to improve yourself and/or others are worth enough to put them in practice.

Everyone has a different purpose. It all has to do with the gifts that God has given you. I'm not a smart ass, I speak what I believe. Everyone has a different gift and has a "calling" for lack of better words. People have said that when they find this purpose and known that they have completed it, their have this sense of accomplishment that doesn't come any other way
