Tsunami...

A school of music that studies the rhythm of nature, a school of fashion that studies the elegance of the Universe, a school of design that studies the architecture of the ancients, a school of philosophy that studies the time-tested Truth.

Re: Tell You What I'm Gonna Do...

QUOTE(AYHJA)DeEje...

It has come to my understanding that perhaps something in your life has recently left you emotionally scarred, and that you just can't help it...I say that because when I read these things you are writing, you are putting all of humanity in your callous emotional boat, and saying it is commonplace...

It is not...

LoL, I aint emotionally scarred dawg...I am not doing shit with humanity, just spitting it from my perspective of how people act. I see people around me who talk about how devastated they are from the Tsunami..teachers, parents, friends..yet you can see in their lives they are not truly affected by it that much..I could tell a difference if their parents are splitting up, etc, but not this...That doesnt mean they dont care, but they are not aware of the fact that it just didnt affect them that much..Due to the fucking spoiled-ass country we live in, why should they?
Or better still, HOW CAN THEY? I find it ironic how if someone that Joe Schmoe actually knew died in the tragedy, he would most likely be doing 10x to help with relief efforts than if not..

QUOTE(ayhja)For example:
QUOTE(DeEje)IT IS NOT POSSIBLE TO BE AS DEVASTATED AS YOU THINK YOU ARE.

Repeat that to yourself...Are you saying that you...That you have figured out ALL of the world, been here and done that long enough, seen and done enough, that you have figured people out..? You have enough balls, I can tell you that...How will you attempt to tell a grown man, such as myself, that I don't have a grasp on life's lessons..? I'm almost sure that I'm smart enough to know how I feel, that I know how my experiences affect me more than anybody else...

Oh yes, the younger shit again. But keep in mind I have also had less time to be morphed by this world, which can only be prevented if you didnt exist at all. I am not saying you dont know life's lessons, all I am saying is..well, basically what I wrote in the Trashtalkr post..everyone seems to be SAYING how scarred the are, but ACTING exactly the same...well, not everyone..that is a generalization, I am not speaking for humanity, heaven forbid /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />

Acting is a reflection of what is in the heart..For example, I throw profanity around quite a bit when Im chillin with the homies, and why not? But when I am truly mad, I HARDLY EVER swear and mean it..with that, what should I be judges as..? That is the same concept I am getting at with this..

QUOTE(ayhja)

You must be capable of passing through the minds and souls of people...That's fuckin' awesome...

Shouldnt the kid be the one who has to resort the sarcastic mockery?
OOOHHH I think I gotchu on that one :-* LoL, jus messin /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />

QUOTE(ayhja)
You keep talking about that, and passing it off as some sort of universal fact...You keep rolling back to emotional torment...NOBODY SAID THAT, and you still haven't decided to go back and read the threads and posts that may have given you that idea...People saying that they are sad, doesn't equate to personal devastation...Seeing a tragic event and letting it impact your life...You're telling me you don't see how that can happen..? That is scary...Because if you can say that, you can say that you see little children on television starving to death, yet you don't think twice about throwing away food...That you see homeless people on the street, and have NEVER given thought to the blessing that you have a roof over your head...

If you don't give a shit (It's pretty obvious that you do not) please don't attempt to doom all of humanity with you:

Now this straight up pissed me off..I cry and mourn over the overpriveledged life I lead, when I wish with all my might I could give some of it to starving kids and the like. That is something I can CHANGE. The Tsunami is over..Yea it affected me, for there were a lot of people that had yet to discover Truth in their lives..but its done..I dont know exactly what this means, (see 1st post in this thread), but I was onto something apparently, and intend to pick that back up when raum gets back

But dont say i dont care about something like that. I have to change the fucking channel when those sponsor a kid commercials come on because I look at whats around me and start to fucking cry..

Damn..

QUOTE(RIMFIRE)

I understand that you're stating it's not possible to feel the same level of pain because the people that died weren't close to you and I agree, however, is it possible for ME to feel, although not necessarily MORE, but a different kind of remorse than you?

Yes.

And other people, like you with more wisdom and what not, do feel more pain than me. Alls Im sayin is that pain still is nowhere near the pain that those who lost loved ones feel..

Obvious?

I think so..

But maybe its jus me and LG, but people were soundin like THEIR WORLDS WERE CRUSHED, MUTILATED, CHEWED UP AND DESTROYED LoL..

Again, sorry if that wasnt the intent, but no one has said it wasnt when I brought this up earlier, so iono...

QUOTE(x3n)I think ya'll should just let the kid...care or not care as much as he deems it necessary. Guilt trips over his statements (which in turn are being brought out as unnecessary defense), aren't going to make THAT much difference, if any.
Maybe at some point in his life, he'll get his chance to better understand and relate to the magnitude of this (doubtful, unless he somehow finds himself standing on a piece of cement where his whole neighborhood used to sit), but life experience covers the topics that school and parents don't touch.

Man, thas crazy..

On a scale of 1-10 concerning what you jus said about me, thas a .5..

I aint even sayin no more..

You just don't get it, and with that, I'm out of the thread...RAUM will be here at my house in 15 minutes, maybe he can explain it to you in a way that I can't...

I'm not trying to change you or the way you feel for the record, I am trying to understand you...And I cannot...And I make a good part of my living trying to do that very thing...See you in 20...

I know I said I was done with the thread, but I'm asking questions and not getting them answered AT ALL, and that's disrespecting the spirit of this forum...If you do not know how to explain yourself, please stop repeating the same thing...Case and point...AGAIN...

QUOTE(DeEje)I just dont see how people can say they are more emotionally torn apart by this than if their own family was lost.

WHO THE FUCK SAID THAT..?!?!?!!?!?!?!?!!?!?!!?!?!!?

I'm sorry, but I keep asking you that, and you keep not answering it...It is clear that there are several things which you refuse to take into consideration in opposing arguments, and that's not my issue...You'll come to see that in time, please believe me...

But you keep running your argument on an empty fuckin' statement..! I am quoting you, and you keep pulling shit out of your ass...I've search through the forum, and didn't see shit about comparing the level of devatstation...That is the foundation of your argument, but nobody here said it, and if they did, you haven't said yet, and I've asked you the shit about 40 times...

It is a DEBATE/DISCUSSION, it is not that hard...Good God...Who are you basing your argument with..?

"I just dont see how people can say they are more emotionally torn apart by this than if their own family was lost."

You keep asking me?? I keep asking YALL and nobody has answered except saying "dont generalize"..its not a fuckin rhetorical question lmao..I was asking..

So answer honestly then, all of yall, if the before mentioned statement is so far off..based on the principle of..

"Actions show what the words dont"

Think of how you reacted, thought, felt after the Tsunami, then consider the same if you were to lose a child, parent, spouse, etc.

Based on that, what do you truly care more about?

For me, I would love to be able to say that the Tsunami made me so sick I couldnt eat for a week. That is how it should be. But a 7-day unwilling fast would be for a lost loved one before it would be for the victims. Agree?

N w'sup with Raum, AYHJA?
