The Worst Killer in my book is Elizabeth Bathory of Hungary.

She lived in the 14th or 15th century and she was an aristocrat who was a lesbian.

All of the women were expected to be married by the age of 21 or you were considered an old bag. So, Elizabeth was trying to find a Fountain of Youth to stay young. She found it one day when a handmaid accidently pulled Elizabeth hair and she turned and slapped the handmaid so hard, she drew blood.

Elizabeth saw that where the blood landed on her it looked young and vibrant, so with the help of two accomplices, she tortured and killed the handmaid and drained the blood in a bath tub.

She took a bath in the handmaid's blood. For awhile, the sanguine bath worked, but it wore off. She needed more women's blood. She developed torture devices to slowly rip the women apart so she can remain young.

After awhile, the female poplation of a nearby villiage started to dwindle to nothing. The authorities were called and when the investigated, Elizabeth killed over 300 women!

So, they tried and convicted Elizabeth and as punishment, they put her in a tower and sealed up the doors and windows, all except a small opening to allow for food to be delivered. She lived 3 more years like this until her death.

She was known forever as COUNTESS DRACULA!!!!

IMO, David Koresh is. He convinced quite a bit of people that he was the son of God (or whatever) and molested every female in the camp. He also convinced them to die for him. Crazy.

Maybe it's the right thread...maybe it ain't.

The thread is supposed to be for the "worst" serial killer...the most brutal, heartless, etc...
But I GOTTA mention this kid, maybe not terribly gruesome for our desensitized selves...but MOST DEFINITELY a sociopath. So my vote is not for the worst serial killer...but actually, one of the best at it.

Used different weapons and or methods...erratic, almost untraceable patterns, no fingerprints, as many as 6 likely suspects, and NEVER was caught, yet at least 5 people saw him AND talked to him, including two policemen. Untraceable letters, oh...yes, a fucking CODE!!!!
From 1966 to 1977 or '78 , through various letters to police, mostly newspapers and private citizens, claimed to have taken 37 lives! (police only are sure about 7 victims to be his). Continued elluding the San Francisco police Dept....and one day...apparently he just stopped. No more letters, no murders linked to him, the suspects died, dissapeared and the case is now closed.

We might have to break off the Zodiac Killer into his own thread...I got bones with that case, let me resort to my notes and post a seperate topic, as I don't want to freepost in this one...
