I'll tell you what I think is absurd...Man, you guys have really bad habits of throwing ideas out there with no support system...Cool, if you're gonna just be stating opinions, but I thought this was a discussion, which means that you need to be able to define your POV and explain it...
Otherwise it comes off as being immediately refuteable, on that basis alone...Offer some substance with your arguments or presentations...To be able to say that animals don't have souls means you know what a soul is, what it does, and where it comes from...
I'm ready to read that...

Did u know that apes hav a smaller brain size nd that they are physcially much more stronger then humans ........during the process of evolution the humans developed thought and orgainsed thinking and so the physicall strenght decreased and the mental strenght increased which to me suggests that we are spiriutally and mentally a step up from apes ...... so if u say that animals as such hav no souls then how wud u expalin the fact that us humans do hav one ................ of course i wud suggest that u further expalin how you came to the conclusion that animals do not hav a soul ................and the thing that seperates us from animals is the ablitiy to put what we think into motion ............meaning that we are able to think and then create strategically which the animals do not hav the ablity to do .............. we as humans hav a higher level of thinking abilityand intellect and of course chain reasoning which animals do not hav
of course i wud be glad to read ur Elaborations oh how animals do not hav soul and well even tho im not an expert an evolution but i wud suggest that u get ur facts straight ........

^uhh...Evolution in the way you are describing it is not true..
AYHJA, I did explain my opinions, that is all that I can do. There is no scientific proof of a soul, just logistics to look at..

LoL...Damn, DeEje, I completely missed that shit then...And I went back to read it, and still didn't see it...
So tell me again...What a soul is...In as much detail as you can...And why it is off limits to animals..?

I believe that the soul is from God given to humans to reason right and wrong. It also gives us that desire or knowledge, if you will, that there is an afterlife and that there must be a supernatural. I can't answer why it wasn't given to animals because I'm not God but all I know is that it wasn't. They can't reason between right and wrong.
"If there were no eternal consciousness in a man, if at the bottom of everything there were only a wild ferment, a power that twisting in dark passions produced everything great or inconsequential; if an unfathomable insatiable emptiness lay hid beneath everything, what would life be but despair?"

Animals don't know right from wrong, eh..?
Well, how is it that they can come to be housebroken..? How is it that a dog can know not to attack a child, but will bark at strange adults..? You mean to tell me, there is no difference between Lassie and Cujo..?

They do it through trial and error but they do what will benefit themselves but they don't know the consequences of what they do.

trashtalkr...
You're just holdin' on now...Animals learn the same way humans do...My dog knows that if he does something fucked up, to look at my hands when I walk outside cause his ass might get shot...
All living things have souls man, the only things that don't have souls are things that are dead...

But the dog learned through trail and error. He wasn't born with this feeling that things are wrong. Humans are.
