Hmm...Close, but I'm gonna have to disagree...

Because a biscut is bread, just about anything on top of it will be good, so, if we look at the raw edibility of the biscut in comparison to your choices, the biscut wins...

Mashed Potatoes...Man you'd have to eat a ton of mashed potatoes to get full...I wouldn't say they're a meal all by themselves...You NEED an agent with Mashed Potatoes to make it good...Gravy, butter, chesse...Something must go with the taters man...Red lobster serves their biscuts as an appetizer...That's versatility...So, no on the MP's...IN FACT...Mashed potatoes are ESPECIALLY enhanced by the precense of a biscut...

Eggs...Widely viewed as a breakfast food...And while they are indeed versatile, they in themselves would not make a good meal...They are strictly complementary...The most alluring of these complements is the tremendous amount of BISCUTS they inhabit...Bacon, egg, and cheese BISCUTS...Sausage, egg, and cheese BISCUTS...Nope...Eggs can't hack it by themselves...

Toast...As a meal..? I mean, I've seen some hard ass times as a youth...But, not even I can say that all I had was toast for a meal..! Man, you'd have to smash a whole loaf of bread to get full off toast, and on top of that, the shit might carve up the roof of your mouth, like a bowl of Cap'n Crunch...Nope...Not Toast...

Sausage...Ahh...A meat..! Prepared the right way, a sausage can be a great meal...When I was on the Atkins diet, I was SMASHING sausage left and right...And a Brats..??!?!?!?! Yummy....But sausage as a meal on its own is rare...Most of the time, it is served as a side, and is a texture complement, to your pancakes, eggs, and grits...But, it doesn't enhance a meal like a biscut does...Go to KFC...Bite a piece of chicken...Yeah, it's good...Go to KFC...Bite a piece of chicken and then, bite a biscut...RIGHT Son...So, no sausage...

Tortillas...Gotta have SOMETHING with them shits, no doubt...Salsa, ground beef and cheese, anything man...A tortillas by themselves..? Man, that's a meal they only eat at Passover...

Ham...See my entry for sausage...** Note to self, "Damn TD be killin' the swine..!" end note to self **

Corn...Whether it's on the cob or not, corn is good...But, it isn't a meal...And no way can it compete with the biscut in terms of variety of taste...See, the thing about a biscut is that if you can't enhance your meal with it, you can make your meal with it...It's that simple...Corn comes up short, though it does get extra points for going through the bowels unscathed...

Salad...TD...You are out on a date...With Sunny Leone...And you order salad as a meal...For yourself.......Right...You were REALLY reachin' w/that one...

Rice...Now rice was a good, good choice...It's an awesome complementary food, and prepared with other elements, it's a good meal...But, rice in itself isn't very filling...I know I'm not the only one here that goes out for chinese food, eats that shit till you're ready to burst, only to be very hungry again, 4 hours later...Rice is too tricky....

Turkey...No meat will ever be able to make another food great like biscuts...They make good meals...But they lack variety in being prepared...

Pasta...Spaghetti or any other noodle with no sauce..? That's not going to be good...And it's definitely not going to complement anything...

Nice try, TD...But none of those foods can compare to a biscut...I can't believe I just wrote a mini essay...CDR...

I'd also like to add that the biscut is a finger food...You can grab a couple hot biscuts and head out of the door...Good, flaky, melt right in your mouth...No bowl or utensils necessary...

Man...I been out for a while, but I'm glad someone started this thread. I'm not even from the south but Biscuits are probably one of my favorite foods....I'm starting to hate them cause my dad buys shitty ones and burns the fuck out of them, I aint had a good quality biscuit in a while. Ayhja when you come to visit, you gotta bring some biscuits! PLEASE! save me from the black bottomed generic crap!!!

One solution, LG, is to learn to cook them yourself, so you WON'T burn them.

That solution doesn't resolve the fact that the only biscuits in the house are the cheap brand that are on sale.
