QUOTE(Convince Yourself)=D> congrats!!

the answer was SIX [and we were only counting the bold writing]

the reason eveyone else got 3 was because the human mind doesn't process the word \"of\"

supposedly you have to be near genius to see it the first time aroud.
[hope that didnt inflate your ego tooo much, lol]

Damn you! There's 3 and I know I'm right! JK

With only reading the first post, I counted six letter 'F's in the paragraph.

Why were some words split and separated onto different lines?

the best way to approach word puzzles like this is to not process the words by scanning the text backwards. If you are not processing the words and interpreting the meaning your mind can stay focused on the lower level task of tallying letters instead of interpreting words and sentances.

this kind of strategy usually works very well on standardized tests. Speaking of which, when taking multiple choice tests, you should always read the possible selections in reverse order...many times, in a well written test, the answers are presented in an order that is meant to trick and mislead you.

Thanks for analyzing that for us Emanon
"If there were no eternal consciousness in a man, if at the bottom of everything there were only a wild ferment, a power that twisting in dark passions produced everything great or inconsequential; if an unfathomable insatiable emptiness lay hid beneath everything, what would life be but despair?"
