No homez, the quays weren't in ANY way responsible for the TOOL joints, unless you count influence...or...well, you see what I mean. If i'm not mistaken this kid Adam was somehow involved in them (guitar?...or bass player for the band?). Anyhow, him and some other kid whose name escapes me now worked on them.
The Quay works are packed with metaphores and obscure references to European literature and cinema, and are a constant homage to Jan Svankmajer, a surrealist Czech animator (their god)....them kids is OUT, way out there. As I mentioned before, it's DEF. not for everyone...BUT!, if you think you can sit through these fuckers' musings and mindfucks, go ahead.
BTW...double dare ya to peep their live action flick Institute Benjamenta.

Movie Title:
PRIMER (2004)

Why do we have to watch it:
Because Butterfly Effect simply SUCKED!. ULTRA low- budget sci-fi flick about time travel...it replaces Special FX with enough material to digest for months and it lasts a little over an hour.

Finest moment:
One of the finest moments? two "techies" trying to assimilate the concept of what they just accidentally stumbled upon, after simply trying to make a few bucks in a garage, then within minutes, taking the highway to shitsville.

Xtra final review:
"The year's most effective science fiction film. 'Primer' is a reminder that the best sci-fi action requires you to think."
-Jason Silverman, Wired

QUOTE(bd55)QUOTE(x3n)Movie Title:
City Of God (Cidade de Deus)
...
Xtra final review:
Ghetto not-so-fabulous. Be aware, the shit is violent, for real.

I saw this one a couple of weeks ago. Very heavy stuff...

If you like Goodfellas, Scarface, Godfather, Heat, New Jack City... I'm sure you get the point,
check this one out, its that good. For the most part the actors in this film were chosen from the
Favelas in Rio de Janeiro and trained in acting workshops. The movie is based on a true story.
