Hmmm...I don't know how you could deduct that...Lets simplify...

Bo Jackson = PHENOMENAL Athlete
Was a better football player, than a baseball player...

Deion Sanders = EXCELLENT Athlete
Is a better football player, than baseball player...

So, if basebal is so "easy," why are these awesome football players and athletes not supreme baseball players..?

Tony Gwynn = Fat chubby, Hall of Fame MLB player
Was an NBA draft pick...Lots of great athletes in the NBA, right..?

So, we got all these awesome atletes in other sports...The best player in football gets paid maybe 8 million a season...And you are getting your ass fucking KICKED every Sunday...Average career length is what, 8 years..?

On the other hand...This slawful sport basesball...The top players are routinely paid double that 8 million...A-Rod = 25 million a SEASON...Average length of a career is probably 10-12 years...

You're a top notch, top flight athlete...And you pick football as your sport of choice...Yet, baseball is easy...And you get paid more to do less, right..?

Right...

Football was their primary sport...its what they were better at...obviously.

I can see waht you're saying......but the fact that they even made it into Professional baseball goes to show that it isn't that much of a stretch.

Bo Jackon and Deion Sanders...are INCREDIBLE atheletes...we both know that.

Based on what you're saying about Tonny Gwynn...He's and INCREDIBLE athlete.

I think Players from other sports have a much higher chance of excelling in baseball...than baseball players in other sports.

Which yields:

QUOTE(Lost Ghost)Football was their primary sport...its what they were better at...obviously.

Same shit, different toilet, yes..?

We have established it then...MLB players, in their own right, can be called great athletes then, as great athletes in other sports cannot simply waltz onto a MLB diamond and win the triple crown...

Although Bo did win an All Star Game MVP...He was a fucking freak of nature though...Sick, sick athlete...I should mention that he was drafted out of high school to play baseball, and chose football...He played both sports in college...He always did both...He is easily one of the top athletes of our era...You'd have to be stupid to doubt his athletic ability and skill, right..?

In college, Bo hit .401 with 17 homers with 43 RBI in 42 games as a Jr. at Auburn...

He played 8 years of MLB...

And was a career .250 hitter...........

Dude..wtf?

No....Great MLB players can be considered...Great MLB players.

How many baseball players do you see waltzing onto other sport fields? NONE.

A couple great athletes can do it into baseball, but none can go from Professional Baseball....into Professional anything else unless..they are INCREDIBLE ATHLETES. incredible baseball players can't do it...which is....99% of the MLB.

Great at baseball...not a great athelete.

Stop naming college stats......College Ball and Pro Ball is completely different...in all sports.

I don't understand what exactly it is you are arguing at this point, really...

Is it really that hard to admit..?

Do you really think that it would be so hard for Roger Clemens, had he chose to play football, couldn't have been a great QB..? Is Joe Montana to be considered a great athlete, MERELY because he was an excellent NFL QB..?

Can you please define what an athlete is, so that we can go to the proper authorities and tell them you have a new and improved definition..?

You absolutely insist that professional baseball players aren't great athletes...But have given nothing to support your position...No examples...Just opinions...Which mean shit, BTW...

My point..?

Drew Henson...2 sport athlete top prospect...2 sport star at Michigan...Made it to the majors briefly before QUITTING the SPORT...Is now a starting NFL QB...

(pssstt...! baseball is easy..! all they're doing is swinging a stick at a ball and bullshitting in the dugout..! Right..?)

If baseball is so damn easy, and has no athletes, how come Bo Jackson, the greatest athlete of our era, is a career .250 hitter..?

Oh right...Cause baseball players aren't great athletes, just good baseball players...Right...

Your Logic means that there is no such thing as an athlete, just people good at their respective sport...Fine...There are no great athletes in the NBA, NHL, or NFL either...Shit, I haven't hit a homerun in a while, but I hit a 3 pointer off a screen the other day...Wasn't that hard either...I am thinking about trying out for the NBA now...

And if that don't work, I'll just suit back up on the gridiron, and see if I can use my eligibility...Shit, Chris Weinke (another athlete that couldn't hack it in the major leagues) did it at a late age, and he won a championship at Florida State playing QB, and then went on to start in the NFL...Been a while since I've hit the gaps, but shit, I may as well...

Sweet LG, I'll take your perspective on this one...

Namin' college stats again?

Yeah...

A-Rod is a great athlete.

Where we disagree is on the stress of the word...and thats it.

I say great athelete....and I'm stressing the "GREAT" part....I know professional players are atheletes.....you're stressing "ATHELETE"

We're arguin different things.

Bo Jackson...I admitted was an incredible athelete....i dont see how bringing him up again proves anything.

Chris Winkie an Drew Henson.......Next time they get startin spots...let me know.

Why would you talk down about college stats, if they aren't relevant..? Shit, what is the point in going to college if the numbers dont' mean anything..? They are reference points, and nothing more...

The point is...LG...

Bo Jackson = Better than great athlete = Average baseball player
Chris Weinke = Double A Pitcher = Starting NFL QB

So, that said, how can you keep managing to say that there aren't any GREAT athletes in baseball, when the truth of the matter is, there are plenty..? Like there weren't any players in ALL of MLB that couldn't be professional athletes in any other sport...If Bo wasn't a beast running back, you'd be lumping him into that category...

That's all I'm saying...How can you say Bo is great, yet he was an avg. player, and on top of that, baseball isn't that hard...YOU SAID THAT, not me...So...Again, no need to look this way for a burdern of prove, I've stated my case very clearly...

And I keep asking you how you make the broad derrogatory statements you keep making, and I don't get any answers...
