Are we in the last days..?

A school of music that studies the rhythm of nature, a school of fashion that studies the elegance of the Universe, a school of design that studies the architecture of the ancients, a school of philosophy that studies the time-tested Truth.

Brillant post.

You're right...we're arrogant...self centered..and no concerned with the real issues of the world.

I just can't see the human race rolling over and dying like that though. I think...when the time comes..and we all realize what we've done....we'll fix it temporarily and survive fora couple hundred more years.....but it'll be too late.

The real question lies in....is it already too late???

And seriously...ifa nyone thinks we're gonna move to anotehr planet by the time anything happens....they are not knowledgable at all.

I was the one who referred to the exiting the planet deadline, not just because the planet is getting trashy (totally our fault) but as a person is meant to perpetuate his existance by having sons, we as mindkind from our days in the cavern to expand our population all over the world have been trying to to the same. The rock we are standing in is not big enough for our evolution destiny and i guess we'll end out there, as long as we STAY AWAY FROM RED BUTTONS, otherwise we will have failed.

IMO

I was gonna research this a little more b4 posting, but I'm too lazy /sad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad.gif" />

I remember reading that one of the significant proofs that the earth is less than 15k years old is the condition of the earths electromagnetic field..due to the rate it is deteriorating and the fact that it still exists in the state it does now, supports a young earth theory..

Now, if this is the case, I also remember that the magnetic field wouldn't be around much longer..what impact is this gonna have on the earth?

I don't think we will destroy ourselves. Not completely anyway. Be it for good or for bad (more likely the second) we are a very survivable species. The proof of it is that we never learn from our mistakes. We keep on repeating everything we do wrong and yet we are still here. Now don't get me wrong. I don't expect a pretty star trek future. We are not a beneficial species. I know it is a terrible cliche, but we really are by our own definition a virus. Our decadence will not destroy us completely, but it will lead us to a vicious dark future.

Current governments are still somewhat accountable to the public -voters-, but that will silently shift to more "corporate-interest guided" policies. Such a shift is unavoidable, money is king. When corporate governments are fully integrated what we now know today as civil liberties will no longer exist. Political desicions will be driven by purely economic interests. Divisions between rich and poor will be astronomical. There will be a few high tech havens with paradise like infrastructure for the few elite. The rest of the world will be a decayed criminal society.
