You and me both, Luv. This is my third (and last) marriage. It ain't gonna happen again, so I'm kinda hoping this one survives these tough times. As I've said before though, whatever happens to the marriage, as long as she is better, I'll be satisfied that I did the right thing. Of course, I have to keep reminding myself that a lot of what has to happen must come from her. If she doesn't want to change, she won't and there won't be anything I can do about that.
I do really appreciate all the kind words and thoughts from everyone in here. It's been a source of strength for me. Thank you all!

When she gets better...she'll thank you and realize she overacted a little bit. Tough times draw out false feelings and words....she loves you just as much as you love her...and no matter what the outcome, you guys will get through it together. I have faith in that. Stay strong.

Thanks LG. I have to hang on to that hope. She really hasn't been herself lately and Monday's anger was expected. I think I handled it OK, but afterward I let it get to me and got upset. I just have to hang tough and hope for the best.
Has anyone else had to do anything similar with a loved one? Not necessarily "put them away", but have a tough love talk?

My dad is the typical pride-filled male who doesn't believe in going to the doctor...... We've had to cart him off a number of times..

I know I'm jumping in a little late, but I just wanted to say that you did the right thing. No matter how things work out, please don't ever blame yourself- because you did exactly what you needed to. Neither my dad nor my step-dad had the courage to take my mom to the hospital when she really needed the help. Instead they both left and filed for divorce. I truly admire you for doing the right thing, despite the pain I'm sure it caused. Many, many hugs and prayers.
