The meaning of my birthname, Tyrone, is "King"... :farao: It comes from the Norse God of warfare, nobility and bravery, Tyr...Also, Tyr itself means God, thus where I get "Deus" from...
And you guys just thought I was being facetious... ** w.o.t.d. ** /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />

My name is Charles Christopher:
Adir Ha-Messiach - Eminence of the Annointed One, Glory of the Christos. yada yada.
Thus Adiriel (which you guys may remember on here) is an accurate translation of my name.
"Adiriel is who I am, raum is what I do."

Ok after seeing all these, people should start to be named by numbers.
I know that's the meaning of the names but it's so funny to see how your eyes shine while proudly saying "... My name means the glorius God that arrived from Mars to anal-fuck devil woman and acomplish world peace ..."
Come on! First name sucks, they're made for people to believe they are not that common as we really are.
At least last name have some reference from where you came.

Ya'll men better learn what ya names mean: 8) <jk>
Tyrone has two origins, one which is Gaelic,
It means "From the Land of Eoghain; i.e. From the Land where the Yew tree grow - meaning a testament to the strength and size of the Man." Originally Pronounced "Tir Owen." Also Yew was cultivated in circles for the Cairn, the Meeting places of the Druids. Later, Eoghain (Owen) becomes an actual township in Ireland.
But, Before that, and more occultly the reason people think it means "King":
Tyron (Tirone) was the Hebron way to pronounce the Phoenician "Tyrian" (Teeryan), meaning "One from Tyre." Tyre means "Rock", and is the Greek root of "Petros" - "a stone" from peh-tyr, the root of Pewter. Tyre was the Kingdom from which Chiram Abiff, the Architect of the Temple of Solomon, ruled in might and benovelence. It was the Tyron that crafter the Pillars of the Temple. This is why people often think it means King, in the subsequent texts of King Solomon's work, be affectionately refers to his Truest Friend, Chiram, Great King of Tyre, as "Tyron" - because he is the regeant of Tyr. Just as likely, Chiram called him "Hebrian," in the same manner of jest you may call your friends names. But this term "Tyron" in fact is the same word that a Hebron would use to address an anonymous citizen of Tyre in the marketplace. So, to say the name means king, it certainly is not true, to say it was Solomon's nickname for his best friend the King of Tyre, who was a chief architect in the Temple of Solomon is certainly so.
However, Tau Yod Resh Vau Nun = 400 + 10 + 200 + 6 + 50 = 666. Tyrone = The numer of of the Beast.
and you, Nick:
Nicholas comes from "Nike Loas" (Nikee Lo-ahs) "Victory" and "*of* People". The name means "The People's Victory" - It is a name given to indicate a triumph of the human spirit; it is also sometimes translated to "The People's Champion". Nike is the Olympian Goddess of Victory, and the root of name of a HUGEwear label. Laos is the Greek adopted Peloponesian word for "People, Society, Organized Crowd, Audience."
If your name meant "Victory of the Heart" it would be "Nike Kardia" (Nikee Kardeeya) Kar = Greek for Heart. From which the Latin "Cor" is developed.
Its popularity as a name is especially promoted in 1 John 5:4.
For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.

@ Only you would find a way to not be proud of what your name means...Your self esteem is really low Fap, man you need a hobby..! The last name don't mean shit to me, as I am the decendant of slaves...So, minus your negativity, you have added nothing to the thread...
Perhaps FERNANDO means "Not quite depressed enough to kill himself"
@ Raum
The meaning you gave is for the wrong pronounciation...And for the obvious reasons, I prefer the Norse translation... /:D" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt=":D" />
