ok this is whats going on..

i have a paper due for my freshman english class due thursday and this shit is driving me crazy.

i have to write about the movie schindlers list...

BUT we cant analyis the plot of the movie we have to analyis how the story is told.

cant look at it with emotion appeal.

my teacher wants us to talk about how it was made in black & white, camara angles, etc.

ANY HELP WOULD BE COOL

Damn, it has been so long that I've seen that movie, shit...I can't even remember...

Added to fact that it is one of those movies that you see, and dig, but don't want to watch more than once...Off the top of my head, you can take do this...

During certain points of the move where there is a climax, pivotal point, or elevated drama, make a note of the angle..The depth of the lens, whether or not the entire subject is shown, whether or not music is played, slow motion, etc...

And make is psychological...

Try to BS your way into making an angle of percieved emotion...Call it "viewer manipulation"...Studies have shown that various types of enviroments yield different results, as in well lit areas and more efficient workers, as opposed to dimly lit areas and less efficient workers...

Pick 3 scenes, talk about the camera movement, and see if you can make out the designed effect of the cinematography...That should give your paper a bit of depth, and the "perception" that you tried to look at the subject matter from another perspective... /:D" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt=":D" />

It is hard indeed. I would do same as Ayhja. Take a couple of scenes that really impress you and try to see why that is. Probably also due to different angles and lighting.

Not that the black and white takes you back to WWII. If the movie had been made in colour, it wouldn't have been as affective in bringing you back in time.

Also, note the use of colour: the flame of the candle, the little girl with the red jacket.

thats what i did. i think i did ok on the paper.
