They say it has never happened that the teams ranked #1 and #2 in the first BCS poll (who were #1 USC and #2 Texas this year) have played each other in the championship game. Somebody always loses a game late in the season to change it up. Texas will have to play Colorado, or maybe Missouri or Nebraska in the Big 12 Championship game, and they'll do something stupid (i.e., lose), then we will be left with USC vs. VaTech.
And Notre Dame will be on the outside of the BCS looking in, even though they have shown they can play with anybody in the country. Charlie Weis must be a frickin' genius - or maybe Willingham is dumber than Rain Man.

This whole BCS mess will stick with us until the Presidents and Chancellors get off their high horses and go to a playoff-type system. What happens if not 3 but 4 teams go undefeated this year (USC, UT, VT, and UA)? Then what? Those 4 teams will have played helacious schedules and 2 won't get a shot at the big dance. "..The athlete's need to be in school.." is a total BS comment. I have friends who played D-I hoops and they were out of class almost 50% of the time during winter term.

Oh man, athletes are NEVER in class dude...EVER...And I've never heard an athlete complain about bad grades, even though their asses aren't in school most of the time...
Sadly, the playoff will NEVER happen... /sad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad.gif" /> Admittedly though, whether there were undefeated teams or not, it would be way more interesting than the regular, lets see who gets fucked, BCS...

Ahh, aren't Saturdays grand..?
Love the way that Brandy Quinn plays the game, although I have no idea why they are ranked in the top 10...And struggling against 'cuse..!

I'm a diehard University of Hawaii fan. Have been ever since I was a child. If I'm not attending, I'm usually either at home or a sports bar watching the game.
I think it was evident from the beginning that it would be Texas and USC for the championship. That will be one good game.
Vince Young for Heisman!

Man..I wish Stanford could have pulled off that upset of ND. If ND would of lost, then Oregon would be in a BCS game. Damn Irish
"If there were no eternal consciousness in a man, if at the bottom of everything there were only a wild ferment, a power that twisting in dark passions produced everything great or inconsequential; if an unfathomable insatiable emptiness lay hid beneath everything, what would life be but despair?"
