Bugs:

1) Bug: Does not download from forum sites other than ones that run phpBB
Cause: That's something I have to write.. for now.. LIVE WITH IT..!
Workaround: N/A

2) Bug: Saving a connection gives me an error.
Cause: This is just something I've been to lazy to fix right now.. however.. it will get done by the final releases..
Workaround: Use the ACN generator tool (download link & screenshot is above)

FAQ:

Q: How do I create a connection?
A: Simply go File->New, or open a new window by Window->Create New Window. From there, you will be asked if you want to open, or create a connection. Click Create New, and follow the prompts in the wizard that appears.

Q: How do I rip a thread?
A: When the category (or thead, by double clicking a category and selecting the thread) you wish to rip appears in the window, select it (or multiple categories/theads if required), click + on the toolbar, and they should appear in the rip-list tab. Now all you have to do is click Begin Rip..!

(Grahical tutorial coming soon for those of you who con't understand WTF I'm on about..)

Fapper: Well, it's written in C#.. mainly because I was going to base it on the RiP Forum Ripper.. until I realised I needed to completely re-write it.. but yes, it's in C# (a mix of C++ and VB.NET)

emanon: YAY..! I should have a build that actually let's you RIP threads, in about 2-3 days.. just working on the text function to find all the images and their links..

In other news..: I've posted a download link.. note that in a couple of days I'll post a new version.. hopefully one that rips threads, like I said above..

Actually M8, there aren't many threads here that you can test it on, since posting a shitload of pics on freehosts is frowned upon...I'm sure we've all been to those sites that are teh EXACT opposite of AF, with a gang of pics posted in the thread...I'm testing it on my other site, http://www.hollywoodsbest.net , but I'm sure there are a ton of open sites that require no registration that we can test it on...

Well, actually, the next version allows you to use a username/pass combo, so you can login to sites that you've registered to. However, I'm sure other open sites would also help with testing..

Oh, and as emanon said, you do need the .NET Framework 2.0 Beta (available from http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/deta ... layLang=en ) to run the application. Note that the .NET Framework will come out of beta soon, and I'll recompile the app then..

Here's a little update people..

1) It seems AYHJA has been getting some connection problems, after the conneciton wizard connects to his forums OK.. sometimes it'll do everything OK.. other times it'll just sit there, pretending it's done importing all the threads..

If anyone else has this problem.. post it here, or PM me..
(NB: I'll change the storage of the web data in the next version, so that might fix it..)

2) A new version of .NET Framework 2.0 has been released, and this is the official release..! Please DO NOT upgrade your systems yet, not until I get my hands on a new copy of Visual C# Express Edition 2005, which doesn't use the beta Framework version at compile time.. so I can re-compile to be compatible, otherwise you'll get errors when you start the program saying it isn't compatible..

3) I should be posting a new version of the application, with GUI ripping tools, instead of manual only..

my .NET framework is all phucked up from some shit I was workin on...

when I get .NET working again I will take this out for a spin
