First off, get rid of that damn Norton...Get some AVG of Avast!, I like them both...Plus, they're free...

http://www.microsoft.com/athome/securit ... fault.mspx

That's the link to Microsoft Anti Spyware...Download it, install it, and run it...

You probably also need a new firewall...Get something potent, I suggest Agnitum Outpost...

Lastly, you can do what I just did...Backup your vital files, and format...Does wonders for speed...

So what's so bad about Norton's?
"If there were no eternal consciousness in a man, if at the bottom of everything there were only a wild ferment, a power that twisting in dark passions produced everything great or inconsequential; if an unfathomable insatiable emptiness lay hid beneath everything, what would life be but despair?"

Its kind of a system resource hog I think. I used it for a while and didn't like it. I finally had to reformat my hard drive just to get rid of it all together. It made all kinds of annoying little changes.

that, and the fact that it is one of the most common test subjects for the launches of new vbirus,.. most won't be released until they can penetrate Norton.//
