Any puckheads in here? I like...not love....the new rules changes. We'll see if the players figure out the obstruction stuff. The refs better not swallow their whistles this spring.

the nhl is kind of whack now. if a goalie leaves his crease to play the puck he gets a penalty because he handles the puck that is complete bullshit. all they want to do is criple a great puck handler because they want players to touch the puck before the goalie can play it. this brings more risk for leaving the crease to play the puck because by the time it gets to him in that safe zone behind the net the offense has a great chance of getting to him and stealing the puck from him.

some of the rules are total bullshit.

I'm rather disappointed with the new rules. I see at least 60 players projected to make 100 points. Star goalie Martin Brodeur has a career 2.0 GAA and 91% save percentage and yet this year he's near a 4.0 GAA and 88% save percentage. Goals are up all over the place. If you have a 3-4 goal lead it doesn't guarantee a win. Teams can score 5-6 goals a period now. It's freakin' crazy. I don't like it.

It's better for the casual fan. I'm not watching a 3 hour game that the final score is gonna be 2-1.....It just is too boring for my taste. That is why the new rules are there, I'll watch hockey if the scores are more like 21-17 and shit....makes it more exciting

Why are there so many posts in this thread? It's HOCKEY! Who cares (except Canadians)? I liked the lockout better!

The goalie puckhandling rule blows but at least the ame is more exciting. One of the reason's that Martin Broduer stats were so good was because of the lack of movement in a game. I play and I know that our goalie loves it when guys are blasting away from the top of the zone versus crashing in. The game is more exciting and that makes it better. 2-1 games are great only if it's because of good goaltending. If it's because of hooking, clutching, and obstruction that's crap.

Hey Rocket, if you don't like Hockey you can feel free to piss off.

I'm more of a lazy NHL fan. I watch the playoffs. LOL Basketball is more my sport.
