A poll about The Word

#1

Post by Bot »

I'm curious, would anyone be interested in reading a 1,500-word piece? The reason I ask is because the final assignment for my night course is a 1,500-word piece. We can write a short story, an article or the first chapter of our novel. I'll be writing the first chapter of my novel.

I'd like to see it. What type of novel is it?

I'd prolly read most of it....
"If there were no eternal consciousness in a man, if at the bottom of everything there were only a wild ferment, a power that twisting in dark passions produced everything great or inconsequential; if an unfathomable insatiable emptiness lay hid beneath everything, what would life be but despair?"

Soren Kierkegaard

I apologize for not replying sooner. lol If you'd like to know what type of novel it is, you can check this thread out: Funding Withdrawal

It's an army story, basically Canada is attacked and we respond, but it flashes back. lol

I should have it ready to be posting on Sunday night. The assignment is due on Monday night. I'm doing a bunch of reading on Afghanistan right now because the first chapter takes place there. I'm hoping to start some serious writing this afternoon.

I saw that thread and thought you did a good job on that, especially after incorporating Raum's suggestions. Nothing like getting some input from someone who's "been there - done that".
