Another good series is Authority (DC/Wildstorm). A super team that takes no bull shit. What do they do? Kill their opponents. Get Warren Ellisis and Mark Millar's series. It's worth it. Here is a respect thread for two of the characters...Midnighter and the Doctor.

I used to read them when I was younger. Now they are all gathering dust in my parents house, all in plastic and cardboard backing though.
