So, I'm going to my first concert on Decemeber 9th. This is partly because none of the music I like is really that popular where I live (Tech N9ne) or they aren't together anymore (BTNH)
But, I'm pretty excited to say that, although its not going to be the oringials I'm VERY excited, because it's probably one of my favorite all around bands ever: The Temptations!
I'm sure no one here is old enough to have seen them in concert back when they were young/alive/in their primes...but I've always loved the oldies because my parents listened to it when I was younger....and I've always liked the Temptations that much more.
Anyway......just thought I'd share my excitement...
Concert!

**UPDATE**
Oh man.......this was amazing...
First off...there were TONS of older couples....which was cool....we had great seats really close to the show...and Marcus Combs....a comedian was the opening act.
He was pretty funny....hes been on comic view and p diddy's badboys of comedy......but then the real show started..
The Temptations were outstanding....... Let me just say that The Temptations movie is my favorite movie ....and I've loved their music since I was like 2....
There was 5...of course....one was a great bass singer, he did the Melvin part...everyone loved him. Then there was this ugly dude lol..he did the really high singing....the Eddie Kendricks part of all the songs.. Then this one young guy...probably like 25...I just thought how happy he must be.....on tour singing in the temptations....that would be awesome....he did mostly Paul's part of the singing... Then....possibly the greatest singer I've ever heard G.C. carson I believe his name was....he played David Ruffin's part....so he sang lead on practically all the songs.. David had an incredible voice....he's the main vocialist on "aint to proud to beg" and "my girl" and others...before he got in with drugs and then Dennis took over....hes the main vocalist on "papa was a rolling stone".."cloud nine"....the later stuff....
Anyway...this guy did both David and Dennis's parts on the songs and was perfect....
Then there was this one big dark guy.....he was moving kinda slow and lazy on his dancing and he was a sub-par singer.....it was none other than the one responsible for starting the temptations....the living legend Ottis Willaims himself.... the place EXPLODED when they found out he was up there.... People rsuhed the stage to shake his hand and stuff....I really wish I oculd have done it...but I was trying to not be ignorant....
Thats when it got kind of bad because we payed good money to get these close seats and yet all the people from the back are coming up rightn ext to the stage and standing and ruining the view....then there was this drunk hilbilly guy who kept standing up and dancing and grabbing this girls ass and everything.....he was 2 rows in front of us...and him and some of the people he got to stand up with him were the only people in the entire theater who were standing...and they were right in front of us.....that just put me in a pissed off mood...but it all melted away as the show went on....
Just the view of all these old couples who probably met and started dating while listneing to the newest temps' song on the radio are now watching them 40 years later and dancing all over again......it, like their music, just put you in a good mood....
Overall....its something I've always wanted to do...and everytime I listen to one of their songs I'll be reminded of the memory of getting to see them live and in person dancing and singing.....For me....it was priceless.....

Aww, I'm glad you had fun! I'm sorry I forgot to ask you when I saw you at DGS, it completely slipped my mind in the midst of all the room-finding chaos. ::KxM::

Lol, no, I didn't. He went with his whole family- /:D" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt=":D" /> They see alot of concerts together. Plus, I like the Temptations and all- but I don't think I'd appreciate the concert as much as others would (I'm not much for noise or crowded places.)
