I forgot about Blood Diamond and Deja Vu. Those are some great movies also
"If there were no eternal consciousness in a man, if at the bottom of everything there were only a wild ferment, a power that twisting in dark passions produced everything great or inconsequential; if an unfathomable insatiable emptiness lay hid beneath everything, what would life be but despair?"

Soren Kierkegaard

i'm gonna remix this topic a bit & change it from start of '07 until the end of the year.

300 (that shit is watchable over & over again. a man's movie if ever i saw one)
Juno (a really smart funny lil flick. Ellen Page is gonna be huge!)
Grindhouse (i still can't believe this bombed at the friggin' box orifice!)
Superbad (the guys who did this treated the characters/situations as real ones.funny as fuck too!)
Lust Caution (great thriller)
Enchanted (well done film for one & all))
Crank (Still The Best Action Flick of '07)
Stardust (the new millenium's Princess Bride)
The Golden Compass (fuck all the anti-religious hype. this deserves to be seen)
Knocked Up (the 40 Year-Old Virgin guys do it again)
Pan's Labyrinth (Fantastico!)
3:10 To Yuma (i thought wackness was gonna ensue. it soo didn't)
Shoot 'Em Up! (this was a funass romp with it's tongue firmly in it's cheek. possibly the BESt action movie spoof of all time)
Black Snake Moan (Brilliant)

:o notable shout outs go to The Transformers,Beowulf & Harry Potter for the FX work

I saw some pieces of Superbad though, and it will get rented...They had a bootleg in the Barbershop and I almost got plugged serveral times laughing my ass off...

in addition:

Gone Baby Gone (not since Man on Fire did I want to strangle everyone on screen)
Good Luck Chuck (movie I most enjoyed watching with my girl... Alba w/ penguins = win!)
Kickin It Old School (I hurt myself laughing at this. OMG, the 80's were my time!)
Run, Fat Boy, Run (the best movie in the uk that we won't see for a few months)
Weirdsville (I can not even tell you how much genius this movie is! Give them CANDY!!!)

and last, but probably first - King of Kong: A Fist Full of Quarters.
Scarier than any other movie I saw... THE PEOPLE REALLY EXIST!
