God has had a plan all along, but decides to let you believe you have free will...
I'm liking this god kat less and less each day we discuss his highness.

"My idea of God is that he knows what will happen either way...For instance, if we came to a stop sign, I believe that God knows what will happen, should we turn left, go right, or keep straight...But the actual choice I believe is a mystery to him"

what the fuck? does that even make any sense? how is it a mystery if he knows what we are going to do? i expected better from you ayjha, usually you make sense but this.....this is fuckin messed up. he can't know what it is and have it be a mystery to him.

the way you explained it is horrible. maybe if you explain it better, it'll make more sense.

I didn't explain it bad...You read it wrong...Be more careful..! I didn't say he KNEW what we were going to do...I said he knew WHAT would happen no matter what we chose....Get it...?

For instance, If I give you two sets of directions to get to my house...And leave it completely up to you, which set you use...I know if you take set A, you're going to see this, this, and this, and if you take set B, you're gonna see him, him, and her...And I know that you're supposed to end up at my door, either way...

But what I don't know, is which way you are going to take...

This is the model that makes more sense, that grants us our free will, and gives Lord God his omnipotence...

God doesn't have a plan for us. that's against the nature of godhood.

just so you know. That's wshat Jeshua was trying to say.

we get to create our own, and if we do the thing right, we get to be
gods. if not we, get to be recycled until we are part of something that makes its way to god hood.

hate to break it to ya'll so stiff.

that is some messed up shit right there. we won't become gods because there is only one God.

we don't create our own plan...that's not what Jesus said. He said that we don't have to follow the law that was in place at that time because that was against what God wanted for us.

i've been doing a lot of thinking about this and i'm starting to lean towards what ayhja and deeje have been saying....choice isn't more powerful than God because He gave us choice. God uses what we do for His good and in His plan.

it's starting to make more sense to me.

It's the question that drives us...

QUOTEwe won't become gods because there is only one God.

If I may, let me attempt to shed some light on that part...First things first...I don't know about some of you, but that Word of the Day thread IS handy...

After you peep that, check this out...We were talking about this in the other thread, the importance of semantics...God in my eyes, isn't the same as Lord God and Lord of the Universe...But my question is this...

If you are not striving to become Godhood...Just what exactly is it are you striving for..? If the ultimate goal is to earn the right to become one with Lord God, what part of you now could tolerate the precense of Lord God..? What part of you, could comprehend it..?

While in that mindframe, ponder this...If you remember correctly, in Genesis, it clearly says that God WALKED through the garden of Eden, looking for Adam and Eve...Later on in the bible, he appeared to Moses as a burning bush, as not even he could comprehend it...With those questions in mind, ask yourself this question...

What exactly do you think that is was Lord God took from Adam and Eve when they sinned against him...?
