He's probably not the most athletic TE left in the league (Winslow Jr, or Gates would take that title), but I do know this - there is no veteran leader I'd rather have on a young team than Gonzalez. Even if he's only going to play for another year or two, Ryan and all the WRs on that team will have a lot to learn from Gonzalez on the field and off. He's gonna be a great influence in the locker room

TGonz has missed what, 2 games in his career..? I don't know another TE in the league that played 4 years of college football and basketball on the 'more athletic' side...And where its really important...
Didn't he have over 1,000 yards and 10 TD's last year with God knows who on that team producing any other kind of offense..?
Remind me, why would I say there is better tight end in the league, please, for I have forgotten..!
And I'm getting that shit for a fucking second round pick..?!?!? Steal of the decade behind Moss to New England if you ask me...

Jimmy Smith charged with drug possession
Apr 23, 12:10 am EDT
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP)—Former Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Jimmy Smith was pulled over Wednesday afternoon and found with crack cocaine and marijuana in his car, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
Smith, who played 10 seasons for Jacksonville, was pulled over on Interstate 95 in Jacksonville for excessive window tint on his 2009 Mercedes Benz, Florida Highway Patrol Lt. Bill Leeper said.
The trooper reported that the inside of the car smelled like burnt marijuana. During a search, the trooper found crack cocaine, marijuana and a business card with powder cocaine residue in the car’s center console.
Smith faces multiple drug charges, plus a charge of driving with a suspended license. He was being held at the Duval County Jail with no bond set.

I think every quarterback in the first round is going to be a bust every year and I'm usually proven right...

Will someone please step in and insist that the Lions let the collective league make their draft choices..?
