I'd love to see the source on that...
Here is something he said TODAY.

http://mikegallagher.townhall.com/Media ... 09243bbb5a

At 8.05, he says "i also met with Gov Palin as well.
Host says "what do you think?"
pickens says "she knows more than the other two guys... and continues about how she is more knowledgeable about energy.

NOTE: He is not endorsing anyone, and wants to work with whoever wins, he just admits she has a headstart on the subject. i.e. she and he agree on things.
Source wrote:Mr. Pickens said that he has let the campaign of U.S. Senator and Democratic Vice Presidential Candidate Joe Biden (D-DE) know that he is willing to have a similar meeting with him to discuss the Pickens Plan.

That was dated 5 October, and I haven't really heard or seen anything about what was discussed in his meetings w/McCain and Obama...

At any rate, it seems as if Mr. Pickens has an agenda...
pickens disagrees with manmade global warming alarmism, but obviously believes there is an impact on the environment, as does palin. they are just unprepared to quantify that impact. that is honestly the most proven conclusion to make. Biden "believes' in global warming. he agrees with mcain who legislated for it on the onset, obama joined that legacy of liberal legislation that has done little but assume much and prove the answer will not be simple. All of them are on the gore train with that one, and Pickens says he is clueless. it is understood that someone who agrees with him would garner such comments from him.

BTW, his agenda is to ensure our economic and energy futures before he dies and all his money goes to charities to preserve our economic soverignty. his charitable giving is HUGE. but he is human, and does have an agenda. His legacy speaks to acheiving that through capitalism.
And as far as Sarah being an effective politician; I could be an effective porn star if my length was as impressive as my girth...Extenze, anyone..?
smartass.

He said he talked to McCain and Obama, said Palin was knowledgeable, but didn't elaborate at all, and he then went on to say he hadn't yet talked to Biden...Nobody said anything about anybody else being clueless... :|

"You feel he did elaborate when he said "she knows more than the other two"

Pickens btw, has said Global Warming is on Page 2, and Biden has it as a page 1 subject. Pickens said anyone who has Global Warming as a priority right now is (my word) clueless. i use the word cluless based on his commments about how he has never seen an intelligent public debate that included credible independent research for AND against the subject of Global Warming being manmade.

Biden alone in this election said "Global Warming is Man Made."

To Pickens, that point of view at this time is clueless. I think a simple view of his record on the subject is he is interested enough to legislate, but not interested enough to actually research the subject of energy.

I know Pickens wants to work with whoever is in office, but I feel he find Palin currently more knowledgeable about the subject, and his tone seems to indicate he is frustrated with the fact this is a no-brainer, and yet both presidential candidates are not in the know.

Straight Talk:

If McCain & his camp have so much belief & conviction in themselves & their policies,
Why:
* Resort to taking the low road towards the top position?
* Make with the smear campaigns?
* Keep crapping on about your record when you can just let it speak for itself?
* Exhibit erratic behavior in regards to topics & what you will or won't do (flip-flopping I believe his party calls it)?
* The need to get your people to play the race card & then say you do not condone such actions minutes later?
* If you were so CERTAIN of how good you are, Just stick to the issues & coast all the way to the White House?

Good questions!

*The low road IS NOT WORKING to do anything but reaffirm the votes of the people you already have. Low Road does not work, unless you are seeking the vote of someone who feels disenfranchised. Both parties are running as victims and that is pathetic. KILL THE PARTIES!

*The smear campaigns are REALLY bad on all parts this year. But the worst situation was the media shut out of credible non-socialist candidates. The idea that neither McCain nor Obama cited Mitt Romney as a potential Treasurer! Inconcievable... No person seeking presidential nomination but Nader was ever more economically qualified for that duty. But even so, the talent in the smear game is lame... the jokes don't punch, the quips don't snap, and neither obama or mccain has a good minister of propaganda.

*Since neither of these are coming into focus, they have to flip flop on issues. McCain is unfamiliar with compromise, and Obama is perhaps too much familiar with it. This the difference, but both have the same result. The uncommitted vote is the moderate independent vote... both need it to win. The rightful non-party voice should laugh in their face... instead they both seek to pander to it through the only temptations they know - Liberalism in a time of economic uncertainty to promote security... and not attacking issues of personal nature, such as sexuality and religion. Both are begging for the vote that doesn't want what they really are.

*Race was polarized before McCain was in the race. Obama was playing that a long time ago. The Race Card was invented by the Left. Read about the Far Left and the invention of racism.

McCain understands this is a public election, that is a popular election. Obama understands this as well. They already know who really controls their own chance of being President, and both know they will have greater power in congress. They both have already won, at the expense of the American people.

Taxes, Welfare, Defense. That is ALL I want to know - where do you stand on those, and who would you have stand beside you, under you, or for you.
AND TO WHAT END.

Sarah Palin is running around saying Obama associates with terrorists...That's something worse than a smear...A smear is when you say something like, "Obama wants to raise your taxes," when an informed person may know better...From what I've seen, only the right has done that kind of campaigning...And they, somehow, will find a way to steal this election...

Sarah Palin said ACCORDING TO THE NEW YORK TIMES, Obama associated with people who ACCORDING TO THE NEW YORK TIMES are domestic unrepentant terrorists.

That is true.

Chicago Mayor Richard M. Daley offers his non-answer on whether the library, named after his father, should release the documents:
Chicago Mayor Richard M. Daley, who knows both Obama and Ayers wrote:"Bill Ayers—I've said this—his father was a great friend of my father," the mayor said. "I'll be very frank. Vietnam divided families, divided people. It was a terrible time of our country. People didn't know one another. Since then, I'll be very frank, [Ayers] has been in the forefront of a lot of education issues and helping us in public schools and things like that."

"People keep trying to align himself with Barack Obama," Daley said. "It's really unfortunate. They're friends. So what? People do make mistakes in the past. You move on. This is a new century, a new time. He reflects back and he's been making a strong contribution to our community."
Bill Ayers has still never expressed any remorse for killing people, bombing the pentagon, capital building, or the new york city police department. It is not a mistake if you believe you did nothing wrong.

In fact, Sept. 11, in the New York Times, he said:

So, would Mr. Ayers do it all again, he is asked? ''I don't want to discount the possibility,'' he said.

------

Compare that to the Keating Five Scandal, which McCain wrote about freely in his own memoirs before his first run for presidency, and faced a three year investigation over that found no wrongdoing. you don't think Obama's people are smearing, think again.

I didn't say they weren't smearing...I said Palin is doing something worse than smearing...That whole 'Obama wants to teach your kids about sex' shit, still turns my stomach...

BTW, Sarah Palin did not get up there and say, "ACCORDING TO THE NEW YORK TIMES" I heard what she said, saw what she said, and I'm a Kryptonian, her Jedi mind tricks don't work on me...Isn't the youtube of what she said in the thread..? Who cares that she can somehow remotely defend herself, she know what she said and why she said it, and its despicable to say the least...

This guy Ayers, is he in jail or something..? Have a hand in the 911 attacks..? Parking vans under the Sears Tower w/bombs in them..? Have a hand in plotting on JFK..? Or, is he instead currently a teacher @ the College of Education at the University of Illinois at Chicago, holding the title of Distinguished Professor..?

Man, you twisting stuff up too now..? Wow... I hope you're talking about something else, But the people that got killed from bombings were members of the organization...The bomb went off prematurely...Ayers was not even there...Dude eventually turned himself in and faced the music...They let him go...

C'mon man, lets be for real now...Lets take this vertical, and I mean straight up...Her talk and behavior is scarier than any shit you will see on Halloween...

I put the SIECUS manual, that Obama's camp gave as a viable of example of what he considered comprehensive sex education. It was a stupid move on their part, but verifiable in court. THEY SUBMITTED IT AS A AN EXAMPLE OF SOMETHING OBAMA SUPPORTS. Either he does, or he didn't read it.

Ty, her entire story started with her saying she read a story in the New York times,./.. and "according to the New York Times. Article was on Oct 3rd.

He is a traitor, and there is no statute of limitations on terrorism. And indoctrinating children into Socialism is not redemption. If he showed remorse, I *might* forgive.

BULLSHIT TY! He BOMBED THE CAPITAL BUILDING, NEW YORK CITY POLICE HEADQUARTERS, PENTAGON, and some people got killed in an attempt to kill servicemen at Fort Dix. He did not get let go, he got off because of a stipulation of improper surveillance. He also impersonated DEAD CHILDREN while in hiding while that loophole was created. It didn't exist while he was surveyed.
C'mon man, lets be for real now...Lets take this vertical, and I mean straight up...Her talk and behavior is scarier than any shit you will see on Halloween...
Ok, let's be real - from toe to tooth, Obama is deep in radical left organizations and individuals, and you don't even know what the radical left is. For some reason, this guy from chicago who stinks of the far left from at least 15 years is getting a pass on EVERYTHING from you. Have you ever studied socialist political sabatogue? It is the idea that policy can prevail where the police can not prevent the power of the people.... in their government.

I just pray he was using them... because if they are using him, this is bad.

I'm not saying I'm giving dude a pass...People are bringing up ish from the 90's, and I'm supposed to be like, oh man, Obama blows..! As if, you couldn't go through McCain's history and find that he's associated himself with some less that savory characters...We digging up stuff that happened in the 90's, it wasn't relevant then, I don't see why it's supposed to be so relevant now...

This, to me, sounds like someone trying to perhaps expose the Free Mason's for being this esoteric cult society with radical views, only every president is already in it...We got Sarah Palin on tape getting baptized by a witch doctor as recent as a couple years ago, but I'm supposed to call Obama radical..? Socialist Political Sabotage..? Do I really need to know all of that..? If this guy Ayers was guilty of all the stuff you say, I doubt he'd be teaching at the University of Chicago...Furthermore, when Ayers was doing all that stuff, Obama was 8 years old...C'mon Bro..! Stop the madness..!
raum wrote:some people got killed in an attempt to kill servicemen at Fort Dix.
Some huh..? What people got killed at For Dix..? You must have inside information...There was a plot...Nothing happened...

n 1970, the Weather Underground planned to explode a nail bomb at a noncommissioned officers dance at the base to "bring the war home" and "give the United States and the rest of the world a sense that this country was going to be completely unlivable if the United States continued in Vietnam." The plot failed the morning of the dance when the bomb prematurely exploded at the group's Greenwich Village, New York townhouse, killing three members of the group.
