Dirt and Dumping on Palin and McCain.
Here is the semi-official place to put all the crap against the Republican Candidates.
Think of it as a subcontracted area from the Flames Section.

On Obama, Earmarks, Palin Less Than Honest
PALIN: "There is much to like and admire about our opponent. But listening to him speak, it's easy to forget that this is a man who has authored two memoirs but not a single major law or reform -- not even in the state senate."
FACT: Obama worked with Republicans, including Sen. Richard Luger of Indiana, to pass legislation that would expand efforts to intercept illegal shipments of weapons of mass destruction and to destroy conventional weapons stockpiles. While a state senator in Illinois, he sponsored two contentious bills, one that studied racial profiling by police and another that ordered interrogations in potential death penalty cases to be recorded.
PALIN: "And I have protected the taxpayers by vetoing wasteful spending: nearly half a billion dollars in vetoes. I suspended the state fuel tax and championed reform to end the abuses of earmark spending by Congress. I told the Congress 'thanks, but no thanks,' for that Bridge to Nowhere."
FACT: While serving as mayor of Wasilla, Alaska, Palin hired Steven Silver, a former chief of staff for Sen. Ted Stevens, to lobby Congress for earmarks. Wasilla received around $27 million in federal money, about as much as Boise, Idaho. Boise has a population of 200,000 people, compared with Wasilla's 10,000. Earmarked funds went to sewage improvements and improving roads connecting the town to a local ski resort.

Here's something related to our convo we had on the phone the other day raum...
McCain Was Against Palin Before He Was For Her

I wasn't looking for dirt, btw, just researching Gov. Palin's comments on earmarks...Turns out she's been 'stretching' the truth about a few other things as well...

not quite. look up Nunn-Lugar, and see it was in congress before about Russia and Lugar (WHO NEEDS TO GTFO SENATE) freshened it up, fattened it up, and added Al Qaeda, and attached more earmarks,... and got co-sponsoring from Obama.
(those are not necessarily related.)
Ty, you owe it to yourself to REALLY know who you are endorsing. I know you like to be informed. At least read the Man's voting record, instead of an article about it.

He is a rank and file democrat. And this thread is not about him.
As for Palin, she got 27 million dollars in 6 years? Obama got 3 billion in 2. c'mon.
This is funny, though.

LMAO @ that cartoon...
Rank and file democrat he may be, it says the same thing about John McCain being a rank and file Republican...Mute point..? I think so...

Where'd you get that bit of information..? Every source I've hit up says somewhere around $740 million requested, about $220 million approved...The Senator himself made these numbers available during the primary as a challenge for HRC to do the same...I do believe she declined...raum wrote:Obama got 3 billion in 2. c'mon.
She again failed to mention the earmarks she has accepted for Alaska which amounted to 52 earmarks valued at $256 million in her first year and 31 earmarks valued at $197 million this year...Calling Obama out on his shit, and then not calling out her own..? Kinda sucks...Sarah wrote:“In just three years our opponent has requested nearly one billion dollars in earmarks. That’s nearly a million dollars for every working day,” Palin told the cheering crowd, “So as we reform the abusive earmarks in our state our opponent was requesting nearly a billion dollars in earmarks as a senatorial privilege as I was vetoing half a billion as an executive responsibility.”

The one thing that I don't buy for an iota of a second is McCain's "War Hero" aspect of his sloganeering. I'm sorry, but if you were captured by the VC & got out in one piece (physically anyway), That DOES NOT make you a war hero. It makes you Lucky & nothing more.

The McCain ad characterizes Obama as someone who supported “comprehensive sex education” for kindergartners. The voiceover in the ad incredulously asks: “Learning about sex before learning to read?”
The Obama campaign cried foul, calling the ad “shameful and downright perverse” and pointing to the bill’s intent to protect young children from sexual predators — not teach them about the birds and the bees. “Last week, John McCain told Time magazine he couldn’t define what honor was. Now we know why,” said spokesman Bill Burton.
