Nah AYHJA, they definitely can't be opposites, I just gave examples!

And haha, you are kinda getting confused for no reason, 0 IS a number, well, you say it's an "integer".

You said it wasn't you who called 0 a number, and it was tt? Well, I'm agreeing with TT, of course zero is a number. Okay, you said that it's an integer, and you said an integer is more or less an entity. Nah man, where'd you get that from? Certainly not from a good math teacher, haha.

What's an integer? An integer is just a number WITHOUT a decimal. Example: 0, 1, 137, 34, 56, etc, so an integer is a number, so that means that zero is a number.

Another point to prove zero is a number: Okay, if you add a number and a number, what do you get? You get a number right? 2 + 2 = 4, 4 + 4 = 8. 4 & 8 are numbers. -4 + 4 = 0, 4-4 = 0. Therefore zero is a number.

But there is a very big difference if we look at this logically between infinity and zero. I mean, zero signifies something, as you said "zero in where you live means you should get out of the freezer", well, in ANY case, "infinity" means a limitless quantity.

See what I'm saying?

A, the number line goes like this:

1234567890

0 didn't used to be a number but it was changed by some mathematican a while back

QUOTE"The sum of any number and its opposite is 0.

Right. That's why 3 and -3 are opposites. The statement would still be true with 0 and 0. The sum of those is 0. If 0 could be positive or negative, then +0 would be the opposite of -0. Right? Well, since +0 and -0 are essentially the same thing, that means that 0 would be the opposite of 0.

You chaps can debate that here: http://www.ayhja.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=348&t=14356

Seems like either I have forgotten, or don't know the difference between actual math, and math theory....

If 0 is a number, then so is infinity...

0 is the abscence of quantity...
Infinity is an endless quantity...

0 is not a natural number...When you start counting, you don't start with 0...In fact, 0's weren't even included in math until like 650 AD.! And even then, they were only placeholders...

Anyway, we can talk that in the other thread, this thread is about God...And whether or not he is all things, or the abscence of all things...

So let's get back to God. I think he is the essence of everything that's good and the absence of what's bad

First off, I never specified good and evil, I think those terms are relative, and in the grand cosmic sense, do not apply...No need to slap any of those pro-Christian, confusing POV's this way, as in God is all knowing, and powerful, yet somehow remains not all things, most of which we label as "evil"

My question is all inclusive...Is he all things, or the abscense of all things...Is the purity of the ideal formed though the unity of all matter present, or is it the clean slate, that forms the state of perfection...

Off topic: I can't believe how many people misread my first post, LoL...

i think G-d is the manifestation of the will of El in which there is not a sense of good or evil, but rather a sense of whatsoever is necessary for the ultimate expression of Unity in a true essential and nonatomic existence, which inspires humanity to hold the belief that such things as "Love" are ineffable.

Thus, G-d is the process of El enforcing the Laws of Reasonable and Praeter-Natural existence, to ensure Love is the common bond of all beings.

I think too, I get part of this question from the idea of perfection...Some would say that all of the universe is a great big picture so to speak, with each and every single molecule forming this very awesome painting that is flawless...Or, you could say that it is the universe, every star burned out, every solar system collapsed, ever molecule having devoured itself and is a complete and utter sense of still, unmoving, unflawed...
