Not so fast...

Belichick still plays coy, as media plays game of 'Where's Tom?'

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- For the second consecutive day, New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady wasn't in the locker room when reporters and cameramen were allowed inside Friday.

During the 45-minute period, several cameramen lingered near Brady's locker, but he didn't show up. Nor was he there for the first 12 minutes of practice that the media were allowed to watch.

Asked if he could say whether Brady would practice later in the day, Patriots coach Bill Belichick said, "Not now. We'll see."

Brady was photographed in New York City on Monday wearing a protective boot on his right foot. He took it off later in the day and hasn't been photographed wearing it since. He reportedly has a minor high ankle sprain that isn't expected to keep him out of the Super Bowl against the New York Giants on Feb. 3.

Brady wasn't seen during the first 15 minutes of Thursday's workout to which media were admitted, nor in the locker room.

As Belichick was asked Friday to compare the current trip to the Super Bowl to the other three the team has played in, vice president of media relations Stacey James said, "Final question."

One reporter tried to squeeze in another, asking if Belichick could say what Brady did or didn't do on Thursday, the Patriots' first day of practice after a three-day break.

"Was that the last question?" Belichick said with a smile, turning toward James.

"That was the last question," James replied.

With that, Belichick walked from the lectern and out of the room.

Bill's media savvy is becoming almost comical...You are going to get the same dry, rehearsed talk every time, so when the reporters ask him stuff, I'm usually sitting there smiling cause its he's almost like a character you'd seen on SNL or something, lol...

Nice article bp... :)

Seriously, what a dumbass statement. There is no team that can hold the Pats to only 17 points! Just like the spygate scandal, this will just motivate the Pats even more and they'll crush the Giants 56-3...lol

Wow, what a game man...Too bad this isn't the best 2 out of 3, I'm sure the Pats would swap places with the G-Men any day...Not too many chances a guy will get at making history, 19-0 is just not meant to be man...Those damn dudes were HUNGRY...The Pats had the game won till that dude decided he was gonna catch the ball on his damn head...What a game...

Why is it...That when a team is up at the end of the game, they go into that God awful prevent type D..? Man, how many times have you seen a team get dialed up doing that..? Ahh, at any rate, I talked shit about the Giants for two weeks, so let me get the foot out of my mouth and offer them up a congrats...I'm still a Tom Brady fan more so than a Pats fan, but I wanted the Pats to win nonetheless...

Props to the G-Men...

I am so shocked that the Giants won that game. I'm still going to say that the Giants did not deserve to go to the Super Bowl this year and that Eli just isn't a good QB. But they wanted that game and they got it.

I hate Prevent D. I never understood the point of it. Like you said, you always end up getting burned. What a way to end it though. In the last 2 minutes when Eli never should have gotten that throw off. Oh well...that happens in football

I tell you this man, I get the feeling that we have not seen the last of the Pats in the Superbowl, and that that Giants better hope and pray they don't see them again...Bad blood is brewing man...

Sorry guys I posted in the NFL news thread above before, didn't notice this thread before. It's nice to see some guys who actually like or aren't completely hating on my boys. I seem to have to defend them everywhere else. Yeah that was the most shocking and disappointing loss of my lifetime. Didn't think the Colts game a year ago could be topped but this did it. Anyway the news today is that Matt Walsh does have a vid of the Rams practice from '02 and is going to hand it over to Goodell. Kind of distressing but I have to see it to actually believe it though. I don't see why he would've saved this or how but we'll see. :?:

But even Martz said that the tape probably wouldn't do much because the Rams only worked on goal line plays at the walk through. The Rams didn't even get into the red zone until late 3rd quarter maybe 4th quarter. It's sad that they resorted to that to try and win, but it doesn't sound like it would have made a difference

And see, this is my problem with that...Only the media seems to feel this is an issue...I think the Steelers owner came forward and said the same thing, it doesn't make a difference...And that means one or two things...Either everyone is doing it, or...It really doesn't make a difference..!! I mean damn, why are the pushing the issue still...?
