Haha...cheap food is good food! I love Ramen with and egg cracked in it...sandwiches are also GREAT! I love grilled cheese and drinking my cream of chicken soup through a straw. Lol...good stuff.

Roasted Seseame Chicken

Ingredients


-1 whole chicken

Stuffing

-3/4 basmati rice, cooked
-6 oyster mushrooms (or field mushrooms), sliced
-2 tablespoons teriyaki sauce
-1 onion, diced finely
or 2 tablespoons soy sauce + 1/2 tablespoon oyster sauce


Baste

-2 tablespoons teriyaki sauce
or 2 tablespoons soy sauce + 1/2 tablespoon oyster sauce
-1/2 tablespoon oil
-1 tablespoon sesame seeds


Method

-Set water to boil for rice
-Dice onion
-Fry gently until quite soft
-Set rice to cook
-Wash and pat dry chicken
-Preheat oven to 175 degrees C
-Slice mushrooms
-Mix rice, mushrooms, onion, and sauces
-Fill chicken cavity with stuffing
-Secure cavity with skewer, truss wings with string
-Place in oven bag, pour some of baste over, secure
-Roast for 1 hour & 5 minutes
-Open and remove oven bag
-Pour the rest of baste over chicken, sprinkle sesame seeds
-Roast for a further 15 minutes
-Serve with side dishes (eg. extra stuffing, stir-fry Asian veges).
