@ raum

In contrast, I am not making a statement about how superior the construction is on any pyramid...I'm not saying anything that would imply I have some formal knowledge of them...And the title of this thread is ancient Egypt...What other pyramids are there I could be talking about aside from those @ Giza...I am not aware of any that exist elsewhere, and moreover, not concerned...

So, if THE pyramids in Egpyt isn't specific enough, then The Great Pyramids in Giza, Egypt, there are 9 or 10 of them I believe, and more specific than that, lets talk about the biggest one...

Whenever we are done being cute, of course...

the Central America pyramids were built pretty much the same way, mounds built on top of each other until the solid structures we see today were placed. Usually according to or working with celestial movements (from what I've read they did develop the concept of zero independently, i'm just not aware of around what time they did this), but of course, they made compromises due to the lay of the land. Some were connecting plazas, some were stepped along mountains.

yup, xen

they had zero... it was indicated by a cute little monster. (am not joking)

ADN:

I would put the Temple of Karnak against the Pyramids ANYDAY, and it was actually built by an egyptian.

The pyramids at Giza span 3,000 years. all statements will be general.

For a big WOW!!! Let's go to Karnak - where Mosheh learned Architecture.

As far as the indications of the celestial bodies, the problem shows that the stars move, certainly in 3000 years some of the stars have changed, being that they have changed so much in my own life...(I was born in 74)

So, the indications of any one pyramid in giza celestially have to be reconfigured for each pyramid in giza.

Serpent in the sky... didn't you get a copy of that from me?

I don't have that; Serpent in the Sky...I will have to read it sometime...And I do want to talk about Karnak, but first, I want to ask about the pyramid of Khufu(sp?), which I believe is the biggest (would you believe my fucking Google isn't working..???) with a base of about 12 or 13 acres...

What can you tell us about that one..?

LG, and all us young cats, have to reject the popular "say it how it is str8 up" mentality that has embodied our generation and express our thoughts a little more eloquently, unless we want to be looked at as 17 year olds our whole lives. I have made an effort to improve my posts, though I still am a bit brief at times..

Anyway, continue posting smart people, I'm reading../wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />

AMT,

that "str8 up" attitude has its place, and an internet forum is fine... i just think LG sounds a bit more myopic than he is, and part of it is because he prolly has a personal reason for his personal posts...

something he didn't share with us in this post. that caused him to come out with his original question "why's it got to always be about race"

the answer to that is "damn, man... that's a deep question. well, its fucked up, but humanity made it about that as humanity began to seek an understanding of humanity that humanity has since long integrated and outgrown, and it constantly bites us in the a$$ as the vestiges of it resist equilibration so we can learn even more about humanity. Be patient and know its all part of a big picture that is not finished loading."
