It's odd, man.
The more I try to differentiate and discuss various topics, the more I see them as slices of the same fruit. Cuts from the same dead and bloody flesh, depending on how you play with metaphor. I want to know if I understand your country well, I need to know if you all do.

I read RAUM's post and he goes: "I know what I want..." and off he goes. I'm left wondering if everyone else takes the time to sort out their files upstairs. Do they figure out waste from want, want from need. Figure out who you are to yourself and in relation to others and as macro as you wanna go or are willing to go with it. That's really where my question stems from.

By the way, sorry for deciding to go off the highway but I'm staying in the same general direction, folk. I'm just trying to gauge the North American sentiment for a bit. If these ramblings need to be moved to another thread, either guide me or feel free to shove this shit to a different or new topic. I can certainly go back and dump on any candidate just as easy but I need to know how you see and want to see your country. I think I know what makes you guys tick, but there are so many other variables. Jeeesus.

What is the "proper context" for expansion and interventionism?
Handled incorrectly in amateurish hands, leads to a ferocious bleeding of your reserves. your money goes out, your young get killed. On the other hand, and hardly ever for the best, you create allies with future hand-biters. Pairings that from experience, will result in future conflicts. Why are these alliances still being practiced?
Then there's your other side to foreign relations: when shit goes SO far off balance that you get news about a country on the map you never knew, that now is underwater and some people who already had a feast of shit on their plate, now have to kick sharks off of them while the US is sending help.
Of course, these situations and the perception of North America as the land of opportunity, provides enough reason for other poor, tired, huddled masses, yearning to breathe free to seek refuge here. Then begins your national headaches. Who the fuck are these people, why can't they go back, do they steal, do they rob, do they fear god, what is that language?
Merely a vessel for the almighty, maybe Jesus had the patience and unending love to care for as many lepers as the earth could produce. But do you? the problem of a messiah, or in this case a promised land is that you know there's misery all around you, if you advertise TLC, you will get the needy and sick. Among this wretched, stinking mass of lepers, there are those who don't need as much, just a chance. Some will be welcome, the latecomers might not be. Too many sick to believe there's a healthy one.

I think there are average people. In my opinion, the ones easily swayed with rhetoric, the ones who feel patriotic standing by those who make them feel safe...not knowing what exactly the danger is, and what does the cure entail. The ones who think in slogans, the ones who think stickers=support or respect. The ones who think respect=fear. The average are on the grind, not caring about the details, they just wanna get to a place they feel comfortable in, and die in that quest. Because comfort is looking more and more out of reach each day.
The average think god will make it all right again very, very soon. If it's RAUMs god...oh, he'll fix it alright.

This, believe it or not, is still a question. A very, very long-winded one, I know. I just want to know what everybody (or anybody that stops by here) wants to see happen for these coming years? What do they want for their kids, for your country?

I believe in change. If you don't embrace it, It'll bitchslap you. Hard. I've been all for giving the GOP a chance to bring something different to the table just going off their track record in my lifetime.. & they have not. It's still take take take. Tax cuts for those that do not need it & no real cuts to improve the lives of those that do. They are still making with the cowboy politics, smear campaigns & empty promises. I thought McCain might be the one to bring something different to the table based off his past actions,but has sadly reverted to the republican cliche when it was crunch time. If he wins, he'll be just another variation on Nixon,Reagan both Bushes. I hope he loses & gets a fierceass bitchslap-cum-wakeupcall & realises he fucked up by not keeping it real.

Those vids Ja posted have contributed further to painting him a senile olde man out of touch with this world we live in & moreso with the country he wants to run. I hope America's voters get a chance to see them. If I gotta choose between inexperienced & level-headed or experienced & senile with a dash of throwaway ethics, I'll gladly take the former.

On a security note, I do not think extremists will be intimidated in attempting further attacks on US soil under McCain's watch. Obama comes across as the wrong nigga to fuck with. They'll be less game to try under his watch.

OK, here - Family, God, and Country are the most valuable and least equitable sentiments of American citizenship. Socialism has seen to it that these are severely devalued. Thus those who invest in them, do not invest as much, which make it prime for buyout. You can probably understand devaluing a country's sentiments and how it demoralizes the economy, and makes it prime for purchase and takeover. Just look at Chiquita down in your neck of the drop of water we float in. Socialists have been primed to buy this country since the influences of pre-world war II intervention by the U.S.

The proper context is personal investment for personal gains. Our country should not directly invest in any other country without a treaty approved by our elected state representatives. FUCK THE U.N. and NATO, and every other bullshit attempt to let obsolete governments, tyrannies, and theocracies stay afloat! The idea is we should prosper so much other countries WANT to change to enjoy their own prosperity, not that they should wallow in superstition and arrogance until they leech off of ours. America is a land of opportunity, NOT CHARITY. We should inspire revolutions, and make people FIGHT for their own independence. It should be their task to win their fight or die trying. If you do not want Democracy that much, you do not yet have the capacity to honor it. If you are given it, you profane it by catering it to the support you were given, and thus it is weakened. We have allies that are still not Democratic, and some of them can thrive without it. To them, true Democracy is not worth it. Fine, let them make their choice.

That is typical Liberal Socialist statutes of Primacy. These are not conservative tenets but after 9-11 formally found their way into the National Security strategy of the United States, in the "Bush Doctrine." Since then, the Republican party has cloven to Liberal Global Initiatives... which were first Democratic platitudes, and then exercised in the Republican Party by President Reagan to end the Cold War. This might have happened, but for the incompetence with which President Carter dealt with the Middle East, mainly because he was a "Good Christian" (but a LOUSY Chief Executive Officer) in his dealings with them. Reagan's intervention in the Middle East was inspired by the two situation leveraged in Korea and Vietnam. He hoped to start a "Vietnam" style conflict in Afghanistan that would be on the border of Russia and inspire a rise of Democracy. It almost worked, until the UN made us "play fair".

The truth is at one time we were so significant a power, that our assets had to be leveraged against both Military and Economic Superpowers... including the major Axis and Allied powers of the last World War (which I propose never really ended). We could not exhale without blowing someone's hearthfire's out. But in order to get their votes in the UN, we needed to pay them off, in the sense that we needed to reimburse them for the inconvenience of being so politically or economically diminutive that they could be unseated by the movement of other political powers. A reform of citizenship should be thus. Someone should apply for State citizenship, and be approved before requesting Federal Citizenship. Until Federal Citizenship is approved, their legal rights are extended in their state of residence, and they are granted a Visa, of which each state has a certain allowance for population growth through immigration, based on their economy and their geography. Outside of that state, they are still visitors. This is far more feasible, manageable, and fair to all involved. It is not NICE... It is A SOUND INVESTMENT of each state. Sure, new citizens are somewhat on parole, but as well they should be. People should prove they can pay into our prosperity as well as enjoy it, and have a place to go before they come here.

Look at this: How do you feel about giving part of your income to help make sure prisoners have a health and fitness program paid for by taxpayers that free American law-abiding taxpayers do not have? How do you feel that part of the funding for that comes from a program that is reimbursed by the insurance policy on American REQUIRED social security? How do you feel about American's health going in the toilet which increases social security payouts, while most prisons have physicals and exercise and fitness recommendations that ensure a level of health that surpasses most free Americans? The same day...I went to youtube, typed in "McCain stupid" and came up with those hits...Then I typed "Obama stupid" saw the comment about the 57 states...The rest of them were more along the lines of people hammering home personal opinions...Heh, you should see the clips of McCain when they ask him about economic shit...

Seriously though, I think I actually get more out of watching and reading egregiously biased reportage for one side or the other. Because of the political will to dig up dirt or hypocrisy to pin on their opponents, these outlets manage to find info that someone like myself wouldn't have the time or resources to uncover.

I never watched MSNBC until this campaign, thus I never realized how far they're up the Democrats' collective ass. NewsCorp is obviously the complete opposite. CNN is on the liberal side, I suppose, with the exception of Lou Dobbs.

I kind of like O'Reilly. His interview with Barack was great.

Back to dumping dirt on Mccain/Palin, I thought the way she dealt with the Tina Fey thing was even funnier than the sketch itself. She said she thought it was funny, even though she watched it without the sound. :silly:

In other words: The sketch was actually quite critical of me, but I don't want to be seen geting catty with a popular entertainer, so I'll lie and say I couldn't hear what they were saying. :laff:
