Washington cannot buy a superbowl.

Post by smcalpine »

Washington has to spend their money wisely to win a Super Bowl and they didn't that this year.

By all accounts, the Redskins overpaid for Randle El and Archuleta, committing $22 million in signing and roster bonuses to a pair of players who were considered wildly overrated free agents in many circles. Archuleta's deal †™ ¢‚¬„¢¢‚¬Å¡‚¢†™‚¢‚¢¢¢‚¬Å¡‚¬¦‚¡¢‚¬Å¡‚¬†™‚¢‚¢¢¢¬…¡‚¬¢‚¬¦¢¢¬…œ the richest pact for a safety in NFL history †™ ¢‚¬„¢¢‚¬Å¡‚¢†™‚¢‚¢¢¢‚¬Å¡‚¬¦‚¡¢‚¬Å¡‚¬†™‚¢‚¢¢¢¬…¡‚¬¢‚¬¦¢¢¬…œ will pay him an average of roughly $5 million per season, while Randle El's $11.5 million signing and roster bonuses †™ ¢‚¬„¢¢‚¬Å¡‚¢†™‚¢‚¢¢¢‚¬Å¡‚¬¦‚¡¢‚¬Å¡‚¬†™‚¢‚¢¢¢¬…¡‚¬¢‚¬¦¢¢¬…œ and $31 million total †™ ¢‚¬„¢¢‚¬Å¡‚¢†™‚¢‚¢¢¢‚¬Å¡‚¬¦‚¡¢‚¬Å¡‚¬†™‚¢‚¢¢¢¬…¡‚¬¢‚¬¦¢¢¬…œ are more lucrative than some contracts given to No. 1 receivers.

Jesus...looks like the Cardinals are finally trying to put an actual team together...

The Edge (thanks to Anquan Boldin, who pretty much got him here) is an addition that has been needed for years...

i can now renew my license as a Cards fan...

they came here in what...1988? i tried to be a fan then....the shit starts to wear on you after awhile...1 postseason victory?...FUCK!!!

I'm exited man...my buddy's got season tix @ the new stadium (which is fucking unbelievable...got a tour of the stadium courtesy of my hotel....amazing)
so i plan on hittin' a few games...and it will feel weird rootin' for the cards...but this year, they might give us something to root for!

I think the Falcons GM is the favorite right now
"If there were no eternal consciousness in a man, if at the bottom of everything there were only a wild ferment, a power that twisting in dark passions produced everything great or inconsequential; if an unfathomable insatiable emptiness lay hid beneath everything, what would life be but despair?"

Bush and Leinhart dominate Pro Day:

http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2006/f ... index.html

Reggie Bush was a tad disappointed in running his 40 in 4.33 seconds.

Also of note:

A 40 1/2-inch vertical jump, and going 10 feet, 8 1/2 inches in the standing broad jump. He had 24 repetitions bench-pressing 225 pounds.

So much for looking fast cause the rest of the Pac-10 was slow, eh L.G..?
